I know political commentary around here never really takes in the big picture any more, and I agree this is disappointing, but there are a couple of things not quite right here.

I’m moved here from MA due to husband’s job, hatred of snow, and lower cost of living. But I’m really starting to get uncomfortable living here. The ICUs are overwhelmed with Covid cases and people still refuse a vaccine.  

The conservatives look at the Taliban and think “Why can’t we treat women like that?”  This is just another attempt to do that.

I feel like there’s a larger problem regarding that same narrative in general with bisexual people; if you’re in a monogamous LTR with a person of the opposite sex you can’t possibly actually be bisexual. Which is some real invalidating, condescending bullshit. 

(And, in the interest of being charitable, I know that this isn’t what the author is saying, but it does feel invalidating sometimes to hear shit like “this is queer baiting” if a bisexual character doesn’t immediately fall in love with a person of the same gender.)
