While I understand that it absolutely is a thing, I do not understand why so many men are seemingly unwilling or unable to go at least 50/50 on household chores and child rearing, and why so many women put up with/allow it. As a guy myself, this dynamic just seems ridiculous.

I think teachers make at least 2x if not 3-4x what childcare providers make. Childcare providers typically make near minimum wage. Senior teachers in my parent’s district make 70k.

Both teachers and child care providers are two of the most underpaid professions in this country. I get really pissed when people think that teachers are just stand ins for child care providers because even child care providers deserve to be paid 2-3x what they actually make.
