@TrampaOnline: Agreed, although I'd rather see them turn into a profitable brand that makes its money selling cars that are high performance and relatively inexpensive. I don't think they should be competing with Ferrari and McLaren, there are already too many companies that have tried to do that with deeper pockets

@Rattleface Blouses: Isn't that what Colin Chapman did when he was running Lotus? It seems to me that Fernandes' vision of Caterham is more akin to the old Lotus than Bahar's current direction of selling out...err branding.

So what are the chances of getting a special rally edition of the countryman?

@FIATS-are-not-garbage: I forget how much I love that movie and I'm going to nerd out say that the manga was great too.

and a heartclick for you sir.

That was the first thing I thought of, we had a cousin who had, I want to say it was an older Lexus maybe or a Nissan, that used to give you warnings. Then I grew up and found it annoying.

Do like me and get a motorcycle while you're in school. I got my '74 CB200 for 350 and then spent my tax refund (1300) getting cafe racer parts. It's cheaper and my insurance quote was 40 from Geico. I'm in the same boat as you, two accidents (from 3 or 4 years ago) and my premium was 150. Wrench on the bike when

Well, I'm not too much of a fan either and would have rather seen the MINI duke it out, but alas regulations. But I can't fault BMW for at least trying to create some history with the Countryman. The name though, I just can't get past it. Was MINI trying to make me think that if I buy this car, I can buy a shotgun,

Can someone explain why MINI has decided to go with the clubman, crossman...whatever the marketing department decided to call this thing, rather than the regular MINI one?

@Vavon: Goooooooaaaaallllll!!!!!!

@JackTrade: I asked myself the same question, you don't see any Euro boxes with "rally" spelled "rallye". And whenever I see it spelled that way I think of "Ral-Yay". Sounds like a little Japanese K car...I'm on to something!

@Jackie: That's the third gen one right? The first and third are my personal favorites, except that the tail lights on the FD remind me of a Ford Taurus from behind with the black background.

It's so...angry! What is that originally?

Sergeant Graverobber is walking the beat at night he becomes a bartender, he works Mr. Ray Wert's down on Sullivan Street across from the \ El Camino. And he's trading in his day job for spot on Gawker ker ker ker ker. You oughta know by now (crack pipe). If he can't write with a broken back, at least he de star the

A man named Engin, on a car blog. Irony?

@stöke: That's a really interesting point you make, it's definitely true that Glick's P4/5 and the neo-Stratos are fantastic. They're a literal representation of what those companies represent, the P4/5 being a gorgeous Ferrari and the Stratos being as quirky as it ever was.

Deal of the day folks, you get a DOMAIN name when you buy the company. I don't know about you, but that does it for me...Sold!

@Turbineguy - Minister of Awesome: If Jupiter and the Moon are aligned just so and the ghost of Lucas past, present and future has been conjured through the arcane ritual of smoke production...then maybe, sometimes and if it feels like it.
