Yeah some people may go, "It's a show for kids", but I'm firmly of the mind that just because your target audience is under 12 doesn't justify lazy writing and dumb ass plots. I think we've seen more than enough proof these days to know that entertainment for kids can be smart and well written.

Batman: The Animated Series. Superman: The Animated Series. Justice League. Spectacular Spider-Man. Justice League Unlimited. Batman Beyond. Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes. Green Lantern: The Animated Series. Beware the Batman.

Children's shows can be good, you know. Like Earth's Mightiest Heroes. Or Avatar the Last Airbender. Or Batman the Animated Series.

It certainly seems like the sensawunda and muthafuckingcraziness have gone altogether. Same ole shit is churned out time and time again with little in the way of insane or inspired or straight out awesome.

Spielberg films are notable for this, but you see a family home in Close Encounters, ET, or Explorers - the floor is awash with toys, the kitchen tables are a massacre of a thousand meals and children scream and shout in the scenes in total disregard for main characters talking to each other. It's believable,

I actually re-watched the original Conan a few days ago and I've been looking for an excuse to post this pic. Just look at that magnificent bastard. From the very first scene, where he hypnotises Conan's mum with his puppy-dog gaze right up to the final confrontation, where he points out that his actions are all

Action Hero Kurt Russell

"Kenny Loggins is still out there and ready to go back to work."

Ugh, ok, PSA time.

the full quote for all the extra awesome:

I saw Lagerfeld a few years ago walking up the stairs to the Met with his "entourage".

For forgiveness to be genuinely forward-moving, the one seeking it must truly desire it... and that is where I am wary of the sincerity of Mr. Dyack. He has not sought it until it was financially advantageous to do so. Does Mr. Dyack want my forgiveness or does he want my money?

Forgiveness is earned, not given.

I guess it matters to ME because I'm a game developer, and taking another person's engine and then violating the terms of use and claiming it as your own is effectively theft of other people's time, skill, and creativity. It's morally repugnant and legally unlawful, and he and his company were right to be fined

Being found guilty in court of illegally stealing a competitor's game engine, tampering with it, and trying to pass it off as your own is NOT "gossip quality". That is documented, legal fact.

I may be wrong, but I have a sneaking suspicion Dyack wouldn't have said anything at all if the Kickstarter had taken off rather than stalled. After all, he's had MONTHS to respond to this article, but basically finally confronted it out of sheer necessity.

What a bunch of garbage. Jason, you got it right in the first article. This IS sexism. This IS insulting to the large audience. And it IS exclusionary to anyone with a shred of self-respect or intelligence!

Plain and simple, it is the enforcement/ endorsement of pop-media portrayal of gender roles. Women are to sex

You'd argue against it? I can't wait to hear this. I'd be curious to see the world inside your mind where adolescent girls are hot and bothered by the 'roid-addled male cartoon the same way that adolescent boys are getting off on the fake boobs.

The big-breasted female, by a long mile.

No, this is totally worthy of criticism. This isn't satire, this isn't highlighting an ugly truth to expose it, this is just flat out demeaning.
