Ding ding ding, we have a winner folks. I guarantee you there was infidelity involved. Tree trimmings aren’t “tackled out of nowhere” worthy. Coming home to seeing the smug asshole that fucked your wife? Yeah, that’s worth a six-rib breaking tackle.

From what I’ve seen and heard, Danica Roem was an outstanding candidate. IMO, that’s what the Dems need. Solid, smart, reasonable people can get elected. The quality of the candidate matters a lot. Plus, she refused to speak negatively about her opponent after she won, saying that the guy she defeated is now her…
Calling her classy doesn’t give her enough credit. What she said:
Excellent take and lots of relevant background, but thanks also for reminding me of the argument I once had with a friend when he started a conversation with “I’m Christian, so I’m a more moral person than you...”
Oh, and a Liberian refugee was elected mayor of Helena, Montana. That’s Richard Spencer’s hometown.
A couple days ago @20committee asked on Twitter, “if [That Asshole]’s mission were to destroy the GOP, what exactly would he do differently?”
I was reading the list of all the historic wins last night (first trans delegate, first African American mayor somewhere else, first Asian American somewhere else, etc) and i just started tearing up!
I has a migraine last night and had gone to lay down. I knew the VA and NJ governors races had gone our way. My husband came in to tell me about Roem, and I screamed “Hell Yes!!!!”. Then the tears started flowing. THIS meant everything for this mother trying to raise an open-minded and inclusive child in the south.
What if we voted for Bernie in the primary but then sucked it up and acted like a damn adult and voted for the far lesser of two evils in the general election?
Also, Stephe Koontz won her seat for city council in Doraville, Georgia. I’m just going to guess that she’s the first out transgender woman to win a race in Georgia.
This is just Qatar Airways rolling out their new slogan - “I don’t need U”
If is small consolation, I’m sure, but there are a few Jezzies on here (myself included) that live in deep red areas. It is hard now, but here are two things that help me:
Here is a pretty satisfying result from the Virginia House of Delegates.
I think it says something about the state of the country when the Democrats poll 37% approval ratings, and that makes them more popular than the majority Party (which is polling 30%).
My family and I just landed in Tokyo yesterday for some family business. When we cleared customs and stepped into the main terminal we were greeted by a gigantic monitor running a news program that showed a larger-than-life image of Trump (he left right before we got here). My dear, sweet 10-year-old daughter sighed…
Murphy won in NJ! Legal weed for everyone! Suck it trump, take a ride in bad weather to the DMZ!
The GOP tax bill contains a provision aimed at grad school tuition waivers, to treat them as taxable income. So if you get a stipend of $20,000 and your tuition waiver is for $50,000, you would get taxed as though you’re making $70,000. Which would probably at least quadruple your tax burden.
As are most things Donald Trump, his math is bad. The whole fucking town is 400 people. The asshole shooter killed 26, effectively murdering 7% of the population. There were never hundreds to save.
Of course, the unsaid postscript to the mental health excuse is “...and we’re not going to bother tackling that one, either.”
I fucking hate the “Mental Health” excuse shit. Not only is it demeaning to people who do actually suffer mental health problems and aren’t just domestic abuser thugs but they always go “every country has the problem”.
