Absolutely. Ho Chi Minh was a nationalist above all. After the years of occupation by French, Chinese and even Japanese for a bit, the Vietnamese were like "and now the US? fuck you".

Disney is notorious for being excessively litigious. It is a corporate strategy: knowing they won't win all (most) cases on merits, but coming out net positive through fighting battles of attrition.

The look on Kurt Cameron's face is the look I imagine is on the face of someone who just stole someone else's baby and thinks they're going to get away with it.

I think I have the same shoes as Kirk Cameron :-(

If this was in the Marvel business, the withdrawal letter would have ended with a PS that Nick Fury just completed the California Bar Exam….

Just posted the exact same thing before seeing your post.

How did Gretchen Moll not get nominated for supporting actress for Boardwalk Empire? She's almost insufferable, but this last season imbued her character with some sympathy and in any case she really nails it. Maybe not enough screen time.

"Baby's First Punk Album". What a great description.

Also out in 1994 were Airheads and Natural Born Killers. Like SFW (and I'm sure many others) each had this mid-90s trope of shlubs/outcasts doing something (kidnapping, getting kidnapped, etc) that suddenly drew tons of media attention, and in turn huge crowds of fans. The prep is worse than the procedure. The latter you're on drugs for and is mildly titillating.

I don't know what that means. Looks like *I'm* the moron now :-(

I think the kind of shows one likes can imply what IQ one has. Or maybe its better to say what level of cultural sophistication one has. Like, shows like trade on broad and misguided stereotypes to get laughs tend to draw a dumber (for lack of a better word) demographic.

Its almost like scripted comedy how pretty much every single graphic that comes out, no matter what the topic, somehow makes the deep south look like morons.

In other words, someone who knows their way around a glass dildo.

Kid Rock used to look like the Home Alone kid, but with a high top fade.

Nothing is as depraved as making rap-rock, so his perspective is a little skewed.

half in or half out?
