The Tonys are problematic because they are for theater shows that most people will never get a chance to see.

The Bates hate exists because people like to get hysterical, and the Internet amplifies hysterical, and because Internet commenters like to blame plots on the characters that are in them, not Julian Fellowes. Bates has been gentle and kind since Episode 1 and the hideous Mr. Green storyline was not his fault.

Edith has been awful but at the same time, if Mrs. Drewe could have snapped the fuck out of it, they wouldn't have to leave their house.

Yeah, I was pretty stoked about getting the chance to see it. Never released on DVD as far as I know.

It already was on TCM. Orson Welles' 100th birthday celebration. David Edelstein hosted.

Saw this on TCM a while back. Tremendous. The battle of Shrewsbury is justly famous. It has been much copied since but nothing like that was ever seen before. And he was able to shoot it on so little money!

Letters from Iwo Jima is pretty good.

Well, it would be difficult to make a thumbs-up Mohammed statue because someone might kill you.
