When is time ever on the y-axis and not the x-axis?
Layman here: steep learning curve kills me from an accuracy standpoint. It literally means the opposite! Steep = fast!
In theory - cooling a single room is indeed much better than cooling an entire house.
“Window air conditioner units are terrific...”
I agree none of these tips really work. However, I will say that there are fabrics that cats don’t really go for - or at least most cats.
Declawing a cat cuts off part of their paw - to make sure the claw doesn’t grow back. This is the same thing as cutting off the tip of your finger to make sure you don’t regrow your fingernail. It’s not something you do to a beloved pet.
So if I have laminated windows (all 4, plus rear and front windshield), I have to carry this windshield cutter thing around? I have zero confidence I could use that thing without 10 - 20 minutes of practice.
The tradeoff isn’t that simple. Currently students walk home in the dark!
Most people live on the east extreme of their time zone. You can easily visualize this with Boston to DC being very east, and then Chicago/StL being east in central. Hard to overcome those numbers, but not a single US Metro area in the top 10 is on the extreme west side of their time zone, except maybe Dallas. Even…
Try living in Massachusetts.
I know nothing of a 2% property tax cap, but this has been happening to everyone. I am far from the only one impacted. Nothing changed with the house - all my neighbors have similar increases.
My NJ real estate taxes went up 41% this year. Our house didn’t get reassessed - the city just blew up their budget, the state pulled out some funding, and COVID relief went away. A total disaster for the community all around.
LastPass Authenticator does a great job migrating phones - just login. I think it may only be for paid accounts though.
I think that’s exactly it. Plenty of people (like me!) end up buying a bigger house to accommodate their growing families. This has raised our monthly payment by x amount. I’d be happy enough living in a small apartment if we didn’t have to have extra bedrooms for kids - and our housing cost would be much lower.

Don’t put 2 spaces after a period if you’re using a modern font and not a typewriter.
Can someone tell my wife this?
In my 20s, I did the same - the oils were way too much to not wash daily. However, in my 30s, I have been able to get to washing about once or twice a week - occasionally 3 times. I condition it every time I’m in the shower (~5 times a week, thanks COVID!). After a few weeks of not washing daily, I found my hair to be…
I feel similarly about a loss of independence (dad to a 21-month old here). I’m curious how you decided/why you decided to have the second? I think a second would be good for our family, but I am desperate to get out of the trenches and that seems like doubling down.
