For sure seatbelts are the way to go and do save lives. But looking at how violent and ferociously that car roll, I don't think they would have survived even with seat belts as it wasn't a simple frontal forwards rewards impact. The guys in the car would have probably died of severe and fatal head and brain injuries…

At least as far as unnecessary suffering is concerned, they would have been unconscious and out of it within the first few seconds if not instantly. Most probably died not feeling a thing looking at how ferocious the thing rolled.
