You joke, but “found footage Christmas Carol ghosts” does sound like a pitch that could sell.

Corden existed on the periphery of my universe - for years I was barely aware of his existence but the little I observed he seemed “fine” and I didn’t get the hate.
Based Bobcat. Been meaning to re-watch World’s Greatest Dad lately.
He is living his best life, collecting those checks and playing video games
Sometimes it feels really good to be out of the loop.
I hope Nick isn’t getting trashed by people on social who can’t separate art from reality, because his work in bringing Nate and his arc to life has been absolutely stellar. Even when Nate is at his worst you can see layers - Nick communicates them so well.
Mostly just here to say, I liked it.
Congrats by the way for coming out!
I know people love those two comedians and they are influential, but goddamn did they punch down hard and frankly that gets tiring. Its not clever or funny, it's not like those two excuse the behavior but if your going to be like this at the very least be entertaining.
Oh Jesus Christ. As someone who has struggled with gender identity and after this year identity as a woman this is goddamn miserable. I live in the same state Chappelle calls home and people loooooove him here. Siding with JK Rowling is a rather quick and easy way to out yourself as an asshole.
People go on about touchy-feely liberal clapter, but it’s always the edgy anti-PC crowd who give these tedious, preachy speeches. It’s the same kind of persecution complex that made late-period Lenny Bruce and Bill Hicks so exhausting.
I actually found the stories in this episode to work quite well, at least in isolation. Because even in re-watching season two, there are a lot of things that aren’t unmotivated or unfounded, but they are often missing connective tissue. Yet, I was still swept up in each character thread as it unfolded, rather than…
I don’t know about that. The 4th Doctor and Romana II in City of Death imply otherwise.
In the novelization of “Rose,” RTD teased future Doctors who are “a tall, bald black woman wielding a flaming sword” and “a young girl or boy in a hi-tech wheelchair with what looked like a robot dog at their side”. Will he actually go with either of those, I wonder?

I reject the idea that this is all to create a love triangle. I think it is more plausible that is creating a conflict for keeley where she is wrestling with who she was and who she wants to be. The men involved are essentially metaphors. I don’t think she has actual doubt about what she wants especially given how…
There’s no rule that says comedy has to be under 30 minutes. Just silly, outdated “traditions”. More comedies should have longer episodes.
At this point Jamie confessing his love for Roy would have felt less out of nowhere than the Keeley stuff.
You really seem to be going into these episodes expecting not to like them, looking for things to pick apart. It feels like that more & more with each episode you review.
Honestly, I highly doubt they’re gonna say anything productive. Maybe some neoliberal spiel about “reforms” and that the good cops can take care of the bad. The show as designed just isn’t equipped to actually look at the systemic problems of policing with any real solutions.
Adrian Pimento is a treasure and I’ll hear nothing to the contrary. The gag where they use the classic flashback joke structure to just show straightforward horrors he endured is amazing.
