I mean, he does have a point. Rogue One was one of the high water marks for the Star Wars franchise since Disney bought out Lucasfilm. It’s pretty much that, and Mandalorian season 1. (Season 2 was still good, but went a bit heavy on fan pandering, IMHO)

Picard gets an A from me for bringing back Seven of Nine and confirming she’s bi.

I don’t get all the hate Picard receives. Yeah, parts of it are a mess and a cop-out, but in that respect it’s very faithful to TNG. Mostly people just seemed to be upset about the cursing in a Star Trek show.

You are not in the minority.  Groot was great particularly in the first movie, but Drax seems to be the the one that people quote from the Guardians in general, especially when it comes to the second movie and Infinity War.

are you in the minority?  I thought that the consensus was that he had a natural intensity that when paired with a good director produced some nice work.  that makes him a lot more compelling than a lot of other people who work a lot more than he does.

I strangely enough REALLY like Bautista as an actor. Im kind of in the minority, most people loved Groot, but Drax was hand’s down my favorite character from Guardians of the Galaxy.

I may watch this just for Dave Bautista. I think his acting, at least in the first half of the trailer, is EXCELLENT. Plus, he needs a big win film where he’s the star (I know that beefy guy/little kid movie he was in didn’t do great). Man deserves it after all the work he’s put in.

Star Trek Beyond was the best of the 3 Kelvin timeline films. I’d like to see another one, honestly.

Honestly, I hadn’t paid much attention to the awards, but I’m more offended by the pile of Oscars Argo got. That script was okay, at least until the airport chase “climax” at the end, which is one of the dumbest sequences ever put to celluloid. I understand you want to have some sort of ticking clock sequence, but Read more

I think fisher lays it out pretty well, why are the zods black then? Also it’s one of those shows where it was never part of the movie continuity and I’m aware it took lots of liberties with the lore already, it’s just that race is always something people don’t want to change for their hundreds of white guy Read more

The funny thing is that in 1978, I went to a second-run showing of Star Wars at a small neighborhood theater (in Sherwood, Oregon). Not only did they show Duck Dodgers before the main feature, they also showed a Flash Gordon episode.  Clearly they got the memo (or the intent of George Lucas).

I think you’re making a BIG assumption that she gets to just walk away. That situation seemed far from resolved, imo. Wanda will still have to pay the piper at some point. Read more

There’s *literally* no actual footage from season 2 out there yet. Might it be a little too early to start shitting on it?

Who do you think hired Filoni and Favreau and produced those shows? You can’t just blame her for the things you personally dislike and deny her credit for the things you do. Read more
