Uh huh.
Uh huh.
I wish the 4Runner had the Tacoma’s front end. While it’s less distinctive, I feel it looks much more attractive.
The cranked-arrow design seemed to be a rather capable when it was tested on the F-16XL. Are there significant downsides that would offset the better lift-to-drag ratio, fuel capacity, and payload that this design affords?
If that’s the case, why even bother with the limitations imposed by the small size of a traditional ‘fighter jet’? If speed and maneuverability no longer matter, why not just take a relatively cheap 737 ($50 million?) and load it up with lasers that will likely be much more capable than the size, cooling, and…
IIRC, the ralliart seats did fold down.
I always thought the most amusing part was that the sportback barely had any more usuable cargo space than the sedan. It was pretty much for looks only.
Had a family friend who had the exact same thing happen to her. She was ‘lucky’ in the sense that she only lost both legs.
After the verdict, the Oregon State Police released a statement as reported by the Register-Guard, saying their office “is disappointed with the (trial) outcome and feels the actions of our troopers clearly did not violate established procedures or tactics. In situations like these, officers have milliseconds to make…
Your goal of increasing driver awareness is laudable, but I challenge you to find an example of where an editor suggested removing passive safety features, because the idea is incredibly stupid. You’d be trading the potential for lowered frequency of accidents for near-guaranteed increased severity of accidents.
To each their own. If the best possible means I avoid an accident, or don’t get stuck on my way home, or even can make it home faster, then sign me up.
No offense, but if you think off-road tires are “great on ice”, you haven’t seen anything yet. Try some dedicated winter tires, which have a different construction from off-road tires, so that you have a better frame of reference.
I’ve never been a passenger in a Tribeca, but from what I’ve read, the most recent generation of Outback (MY2015-) has come a long way in terms of interior quality and NVH improvements.
Alright, let’s play a game called “suggest something better”.
Odd. I’ve always found the opposite. When I ordered a car, the dealer gave me a great price because it was minimal cost to them. On the other hand, that same dealer for the same car that happened to be on the lot wanted ~$1000 more.
How much of the issue can be chalked up to the relentless drive for better fuel economy, in the form of lower-tension piston rings and thinner oil?
Agreed. I’m not sure how anyone could justify one of these over what the competition offers at this price point. But then again it’s not my money, and cars can absolutely be an emotional purchase rather than a rational one.
Nice 1st gen 3S, decent price too. I’ve been out of the loop for a while, but back when I owned mine, Saleen wheels were a popular upgrade.
The sticker fuel economy when new was 17 City, 23 Hwy, 19 Combined. When you consider I added mudflaps, and am running slightly thicker oil, it’s pretty much right where I would expect it.
As I replied to someone else, this need not be an enthusiast death-sentence. In a couple years, when finances allow, I’d love to pick up a more interesting vehicle again.
Significantly, in both metrics.
