Actually, a supercharger that massive pushing that much air makes that much noise. Drive next to a newer truck with a single VGT and you'll ONLY hear that forced induction whistle. Plus, the supercharger is the first thing after the 3 air filters and you can see it from next to the vehicle.

It's just one turbo now. No real need for the 2nd. Although, you know, why the hell not?!

Knowing full well how well most Bay Area school districts take care of their buses, I PRAY that they don't run them for 30 years. 20 years? Maybe. I've seen and worked on some late 90s buses in the past year. Much older than that, though, I don't think so. Most buses are probably going to need to newer than that or

Parking $500K cars is pretty easy. Parking $500K buses is difficult, especially when the air ride won't let you get over a dip in your parking lot.

Yeah, but at these price points, C'MON. They can afford it. Greedy bastards...

Yeah, there is. They're called Caterpillar.

You SAY permanent AWD, but it's not. It'll have the Haldex system which will never send more than 50% of the power to the rear axle. It's sad, really. That said, I still really like the new TT.

Good freakin' riddance! I drove that POS when it first came out and was just astounded by how terrible of a car it was. It was a horrid follow up to the first one, which was genius. It shouldn't have lasted as long as it did. Ugh... I hate this thing.

Not even the TT-RS gets more than 50% of the power to the rear wheels. That's direct from Audi, APR, and other companies.

I'm excited for this little car. I'll probably never buy one new, but my wife has a used MKI. Great little car.

Not THAT much cheaper. I'll be buying one as well.

I get that. That's why they don't do that anymore. Also because a 180 hp V8 is just embarrassing... But I don't think the materials have reached the same point of durability. I don't doubt they're on their way. Materials are getting better every day.

Actually, what he's saying makes sense. He just worded it kind of stupidly. A 5.7L 300 hp V8 is probably going to last longer than a 2.0L 300 hp I4. It's not an exaggeration. There's less energy wearing out every ounce of metal in the big motor than the little guy. Obviously they're engineered for this, but there's

My wife and I kind of want one. Because turbo 5. And that's all the hope we have of seeing that engine in a more practical car. Put this motor longitudinally in the S4 (WHERE IT BELONGS) and we wouldn't even give this thing a second glance.

I've done that before. I've also gotten it from luxury cars I was driving next to. Works great!

Rotiform sells a wheel that's actually pretty similar to that called VCE. There's a bunch of different constructions and you can get them in whatever color you want. I dig them, but I also like being able to see the brakes on a car.

I love that the comments turned into a bunch of guys bragging about how much more awesome their wives are. And I'm here to do the same. Mine drives a 2002 Audi TT and had a 1968 Cougar when I met her. I currently drive a 1999 A4. We've talked about how how both are perfectly capable of carrying a child around. Also

America's never going back to the moon. What a joke. Like the funding they give NASA status joke.

I enjoyed that stupid little movie way more than I expected. Now I'm going to go drive my little A4 around in the rain and not go sideways because Audis don't do that. Maybe I should invest in an old Volvo wagon. Hmm... If only I could convince the wife it's a good idea.

I'm 28, for reference. I'm a diesel tech by trade and own 2 Audis, a B5 A4 and an MKI TT. I do most of my work, unless it has to do with the suspension. I hate doing suspension work. Or changing my oil. It costs me the same to take it in as doing it myself and I don't have to deal with getting rid of the waste oil.
