Oh my.. See on any other article, and any other subject, I would’ve caught it... The subject of Tesla seems to knock the sense out of folks on both sides. The ones who are desperate to take them down, and the ones who are fanboys frothing whenever Elon tweets..

This is the stupidest statistic ever. Tesla is practically they only electric vehicle with a semi-autonomous function for the last couple of years, i.e. long enough for people to be dumbasses and die in them because they aren’t paying attention. Sample size is hugely relevant, especially when looking at niche markets.

Yes, but the fact is STR-Honda were best of the rest in Bahrain, yet second slowest in Australia and China. Really puzzling for sure.

Paddock Pass confirmed its because merc didn’t have fresh softs for Lewis.

    2008 :)

K-mag is really coming into his own. Starting to show up Grosjean, and seems mentally unflappable. He doesn’t care what people think of him, or his aggressive style. He tailed off in the second half of his first two seasons with McLaren and Renault when they weren’t showing that they wanted to keep him. Hopefully Haas

And how have you concluded that I did no research and am “jumping to conclusions”? Also, did you really need to read details to see that the incident was a malfunction of the system? Why, at first glance, did you think it was designed to drop an unserviced car and run over a poor fellow’s leg? No shit it was a

Yeah, he is, from what I can tell, a long time and passionate Ferrari man. I mean Massa knew him personally, as did Alonso, and they left like 5 years ago. He was the guy with that crying kid on his shoulders during the podium celebrations in Spain last year. So he’s a proper Ferrari guy, and his loyalty will be

Because F1 is always pushing for more and more performance. NASCAR definitely values the entertainment factor that comes from watching 5 highly skilled mechanics do their thing, where F1 teams couldn’t care less, they just want to get the car serviced ASAP. So each wheel has 3 guys (gunner, old wheel remover, new

Dude chill, we all have varying levels of interest in the sport, so will pick apart incidents in varying levels of details.. I am extremely interested in the details, so I overanalyze. If you aren’t that interested, don’t bother reading my comment! You’ve every right to do that!

Actually how it works, according to Marc Priestley, a former McLaren pit mechanic, is that there is a button on the wheel gun that the mechanics push when they are done. I’m going to assume that has changed because theres no way in hell that mechanic pushed the “done” button when the old tire hadn’t even been pulled

Yeah.. Interesting story about that $100m fine, that was actually more of a subplot of a spat between Ron Dennis and Max Mosely (FIA head at the time). Apparently Renault were found soon after to having confidential McLaren documents, i.e. the supposed cause of that fine for McLaren, but they got off with little or no

Seeing as Ferrari is practically the religion of the staff and fans in Italy, I doubt he would sue. Ferrari probably will be breaking the bank to get him the best care as possible.

Bullshit. If racing is so dangerous, why don’t they just set a standardized lap time. If you finish quicker, just wait at the finish until the standard time is up!

So far I’ve been on Liberty’s side, but they haven’t really given anything concrete.. They just restated all the things they’ve been saying for a year. I wonder if teams got more detailed proposals on engines and whatnot.

This is literally like saying football players playing defense tackle the guy with the ball.. Like no shit.

Very sad indeed. I do hope at least they let the Top Gear crew film their next season and then for the finale, they can do a tribute to it before its demolished.. That would at least make it a little less hard to let go of.

Now this is awesome! Looks like she has to wait a bit to start racing them (16 I think), but its super cool that her dad has a racing academy so she can get a ton of practice before then. Hope to see her compete in European F2 soon, and maybe get an F1 test. Honda should make it happen with whoever they are supplying

Oh I don’t doubt that. I’m just saying that the marketability benefits and sponsorship packages can probably smooth over a half second performance deficit max. Any more than that, it will be difficult to overlook someone who may not be as marketable or come with sponsor backing, but is a better performer.
