After having that “sunbathing” exchange with the guy I just went batshit on them. Swung my weapon, dropped a bunch of bombs on them, piled up a bunch of chuchu jelly and exploded it, piled up wood and made a big bonfire on their heads. I have never wanted to be able to kill NPCs as much as I did in that instance.
