Seriously! I have horrible back issues and long flights fuck me up, so I’ve looked into price differentials and 3 economy seats always works out as cheaper than business unless it's some crazy deal.

I’m small and can lie down comfortably in a row of three seats. For most flights it would be cheaper for me to book the row in economy than one seat in business (I’m not fussy about food, so I'm fine with the economy food. Maybe because I order vegetarian meals?).

A quick search on Kayak showed a business-class flight from Dallas to Paris at $3999, so yeah, that guy was justified in turning it down.
