It was nicer that one of the Union ships was named the Hawking. I’d prefer to see ships named after scientists instead of admirals.

Just to be clear: no tongue; no cheek. It is sincere praise for a confident artist who knows who he is, and who is at the top of his game. Last night’s episode was a triumph. 

Jimmy Fallon does a consistently excellent show. He’s the most musically talented late-night host since Steve Allen. His encyclopedic knowledge of pop culture allows him to make wonderful references to music, comedy, and movies, sometimes for the kiddies, and sometimes for the adults. And his banter with Steve Higgins…

For me he shall always be L. Jefe Maninchargo.

This is such a good show. I am glad that it is back.

NBC screwed up by cancelling Great News. Andrea Martin is brilliant; and John Michael Higgins is a damn national treasure. But at least it was wise enough to renew A.P. Bio.

I have yet to see a broadcast of this league’s games in which the announcers were short of excellent.

I as an arrogant New Yorker defer to no one in my disdain for the South. However, this league has great uniforms and more-than-competent play; and the broadcasts have excellent announcers. That’s enough to keep me interested.
