The show will be funny if a guest decides to be funny. While Mike Myers is a funny person, he was sincere rather than funny in this particular conversation. Whereas the delightful Ricky Gervais was very funny in his conversation with Baldwin.

Some people are objectively sexy, and must be recognised as such by all genders and sexual orientations. Alec Baldwin is one of those people.

But more germane to the current discussion, he is a superb interviewer.

His radio interview show, Here’s the Thing, is very good.

And he was extremely good on Will and Grace.

Baldwin’s discussion with Mike Myers on the most recent episode was actually beautiful. He is a brilliant conversationalist with tremendous charm; and anyone who refuses to watch his excellent interview show is only spiting himself/herself.

As much as this was a delightful performance by the charming Mike D and Ad-Rock, it was an equally delightful job by the super-talented Jimmy Fallon. He is a walking encyclopedia of pop culture; and, when he is discussing something about which he has a passion, he practically glows. 

If your boss elects to follow you on Twitter, that’s his choice, not yours. He can’t complain about anything you write that he voluntarily subjected himself to.

What’s more, you can always block him.

Michael Moore is the most valuable chronicler of contemporary times. Future historians will find him invaluable.

Rick Pitino had a great coaching stint with the Knicks. I am a life-long Net fan and hater of the Knicks. But Pitino’s Knicks, with point guard Mark Jackson, were too brilliant to dislike.

To me Grace is not only the best character on the show, but is one of the best characters ever on television. For me the show is not even an ensemble show, but is in fact a show about Grace; and all the other characters are supporting characters.

Apu is not salvageable; any attempt at recasting or redefining him would come off as the show patting itself on the back.

Dropping Apu quietly is a step forward, and is the right thing to do. If we assume that continuing with the status quo would be out, any other way of dealing with the character would be self-congragulatory.

The McRib is the best thing that McDonald’s has ever offered. (And, considering their awesome french fries, that is saying plenty!) The texture is perfect. The combination of flavours, with the sauce merging with the pickles, is just magical.
