I really don’t believe it does. I had to teach an early morning class for a year and I survived on quad-espresso shots. I felt sick the whole time. It was a nightmare.

Before I started working for myself (so like, the first 40 years of my life), this was me - always kind of tired, and many days with a low-grade headache and sore eyes. It’s a miserable way to live.
Only now can I work the hours when my body is ready and I don’t feel sick anymore.

I’m a biologist, I get bacteria. Let’s be reasonable.

I’ve been saying “tail out” too! Chronic sloucher my entire life - found some pictures of myself as a child at the piano, completely “C” shaped.

One day my husband couldn’t move - his back seized up when he was getting out of bed. After a fruitless two visits to the urgent care clinic, a friend recommended a “back whisperer” physical therapist. He really was a miracle worker, and DH’s back hasn’t bothered him since. But the message about how you sit was the

I just watched this video about sunscreen and it finally answered that question - as needed is different for each person, but they actually explain how to figure out when you, personally, will need to reapply.

That Biore UV Aqua Rich Watery Essence is SOOOOO wonderful. I put on sunscreen every day, and I don’t mind the feel of western sunscreens on my body but they feel nasty and sticky on my face. The Biore sunscreen is cosmetically elegant. Feels delightfully light and sinks right in. I love it, I love it, I love it.

Anyone know what a “close” is?

This is so true for me! I use the Pomodoro Technique, working 25 minutes on, 5 minutes off each time. Except when it’s something I am really resistant to doing - then I do 15 minutes on, 15 minutes off (with a treat, like 15 minutes of reading a novel).

We bought this cuisinart coffee grinder last month and returned it after a couple of weeks. I loved that it was one button push rather than having to hold down a trigger while it grinds. But the design makes it impossible to take out the ground coffee and transfer it to your coffeemaker without making a giant mess.

I have the same problem with awful and awesome. I guess we can use “awe-inducing” but it just doesn’t have the same ring to it.

Oh god, I almost forgot I had GPC. A few years back, I was having dry eyes and went to the eye doctor. He actually looked really grossed out and upset when he told me. It’s like, dude, what’s your problem. He gave me some eye drops that helped a little bit and then it went away and I completely forgot about it until

I was about to write this and then I thought I’d better check that I’m right and not just that I’ve been saying it wrong all these years. And then I thought I’d better check to see if someone else has already corrected the spelling. Glad to see we’re all on it.

Same. I’ve started wearing only 3/4 sleeve tunics. I can’t remember the last time I buttoned the sleeves on a button-down shirt - I roll up the sleeves 100% of the time. Even my blazers are 3/4 sleeves.

Yeah. Morning people telling me to get anything done in the morning is met with one of these:

I’ve had a set of these in my amazon wish list for a while. These aren’t the exact same selection, however. The amazon set includes some larger cubes, while the ebay are all small/med:

How does he water the plants without them dripping all over the computer? Does he have to disassemble all these plants/lights every couple of days to do watering? I’d love to do this but all my plants leak like a sieve.

I like to imagine your family toasting “Asshole Bob,” like the Cratchit family toasts “Mister Scrooge” in “A Christmas Carol.”
