A lot of my fellow SC peeps have photos with him. He's cool!

This SC girl wonders what "classic Southern breakfast" has hash browns (wha the wha?) and not grits! Hash browns? Srsly?

"I'm going to raise this baby alone!" would make a great song!

I have bought a few things from them, and worked with a tall thin woman of a certain age whose entire wardrobe is by them, from what I can tell. The construction is good, and the fabrics just okay, but unless you are tall and thin, be prepared not to look like the stylized drawings. The website now has more

sure, if one is preppy. Bright pink, bright yellow, navy....all the preppy standbys, except red. Accessorize with a grosgrain belt with turtles, or frogs or daisies....and a padded plaid headband with those colors....espadrilles in same....

and my hometown in SC, where the must have neutral skirts were khaki, navy and Kelly green....because they go with everything in your closet!

The punch line to the joke about the young man from Iowa visiting his future mother in law on Beacon Hill, "we pronounce that 'Ohio' here"

the J Peterman is worth $$$ on eBay, if you want to scan it for your use and sell it..

They were sort of an outdoorsy version of J Peterman catalogs...I had a great safari jacket, and some leather bags from them, circa 1983, that I wish I still had.

This room feels like an upscale hotel lobby....

I can see myself tumbling down those stairs en route to the bathroom in the middle of the night

the style is kind of nice, but the construction.....

Here in famously hot Columbia, where it is humid to boot, I never ever went to court without at least sleeves halfway down my biceps, and a skirt to my knees with stockings and closed toe shoes, and that was Family Court. Regular court: a jacket, skirt to the knees and stockings with closed toe, closed back shoes.

darling, one already IS her....

BFF, cause I am her age

but the zipper seam looks like it is coming undone!

the shade of red is perfect for her coloring!

looks like the seam is coming apart!

You peak at, at best, thirty, and then spend the rest of your years trying to regain your lost looks, with varying results. Smart or kind people just keep getting better until they are very very old.

In case Jessica Fletcher isn't up to it, Emma Thompson has musical theatre chops!
