Yes. As the AKC advises, look at the dog, not the dish. My neutered/spayed dogs get walked at least an hour a day and I feed them half of what the bag advises. I do prefer Purina Pro Plan, in part because Purina has excellent quality control. My dogs have all lived years past their normal life expectancies.

Yes, but the inorganic type, from pesticides, is most prevalent, in possibly high doses, in brown rice. By the time you get to instant white rice (why?!), it is mostly not an issue. The organic, naturally occurring kind, passes through you. The other kind is carcinogenic.

But you know about the arsenic in brown rice, right?
I say, skip the rice, sub in a brownie....same group, right?

Which is why I like the program that gives ALL kids free lunch, and breakfast, too. Boston has just become another city that joined. If a school has 40% or more kids who qualify for free or reduced price lunch, it can get free meals for ALL kids. I would like to see that program just made automatic for all public…
