That's not really what happened though. The writers wanted to introduce a gay character (because it was 2016 and this is Star Trek, that no main character had been openly gay before was kind of odd) but were worried that a _new_ gay character would be just that, "the gay character". So as a homage to Takei himself…
Often I think your point is valid, i'm sometimes as embarrassed and disappointed in the progressive response to disagreement as I am the other side but oddly I think this is actually a bad example. Most of the discussions I saw about the Sulu thing were pretty respectful and sensible (on both sides of the issue). If…
The Coat of Doom ! Aaarrghh mine eyes !
Whittaker suddenly shot up the odds with the bookies on
Friday/Saturday so somebody knew something. My only slight regret about her casting is that I _almost_ put a tenner on her on Saturday but then thought better of it.
Yep. _Maybe_ Ireland at a push (Chris O'Dowd, Ardal O'Hanlan, Sharon Horgan) but sorry RoW, we get to play Batman but you don't get to play the Doctor. It ain't fair but we're very particular about our tea and we bear grudges ;).
They stuck to prime numbers in honour of seminal UK police drama 'Prime Suspect'. Fact.
Some/most parts of Scotland you're not allowed to drink in the street (originally intended to stop football violence IIRC). But yeah, in England and Wales it's fine.
_Always_ assume a spherical bee !
As a Brit, the length of your campaigns is mind boggling. I realise the US is a big country and so stumping takes longer than in the comparatively tiny UK but they're still way too long. And far too much money is spent on them. Getting elected in the US costs so much that it practically requires special interest…
Also, less fascisty.
The tragi-comic element doesn't work as well if it doesn't at least look and feel permanent though - the Master finally killing himself by shooting herself in the back is the ultimate darkly comic ending for the character. The Master somewhat ambiguously perhaps killing himself is much less impactful, it's just…
Exactly this. Personally I like it and was glad when he stuck to his guns and stayed his own course to the end (Who is an ultimately optimistic show IMO and i'd certainly rather it be _hopeful_ to a fault than the other thing) but I also get why it would bug people.
I'm so old I remember when Graham Williams was ruining the show (and John Nathan-Turner after him). Yeah, i'm like a hundred in internet years ;).
And as cleanly made a point as the unblackest of lungs.
It's a fair Coptic.
Usually I charge a lot of money for this but…
Wet dung futures are where it's really at. I have a simple 5-step investment strategy if you're interested.
But it contains many lovely Russia ladies who want to make a friendship with you !
I totally agree re: accepting the existence of magic in his universe (it's there, not accepting it is not accepting reality) but I also agree with Count Erpoint that it's a poor fit with Batman as a character. He _is_ a detective and scientist and detective stories don't really work in a magical universe because they…
