Frankly, whatever makeup artist thought this was 'bold and editorial' versus 'over-fake-tanned and poorly chosen' should go back to MAC makeup school. I was just not into the red lip in that colour paired with the badly-blended bronzer that matched her hair.

Fwiw, lyching was used, on a MUCH smaller scale, to intimidate and punish other people groups as well. Before I go on, I just want to say MUCH SMALLER SCALE again, just in case anyone thinks I'm trying to compete for most oppressed. I would lose, and I'm well aware of it.

OMG. OMG. OMG.

I think the difference is that without talking at all about the people who committed these atrocities you are just saying "this thing happened." It naturalizes it in a way that "these people did this" does not, IMO.

Yea, but think about it like Obama's "Crusades" comment. Yes, we all know it was perpetrated by Christians, but talking about these Christians directly rather than just saying "Muslims have been persecuted before" completely changes the tone of the conversation.

If someone is asking if the first time you have sex with them is the best they have ever had then they have some SERIOUS self-esteem issues. red flag!!! red flags everywhere!!

I never understood why people ask questions like that. I used to always say, "don't ask questions you don't want the answer to", come on, people!

Oh I was HOPING for a post on this. Because really, isn't it just beautiful that a philanderer who views lying to your partner as an essential and caring way to express love in a relationship completely fails to connect that to the fact that he has been married THREE TIMES?

Jon Stewart always gave me a way to work through the anger and frustration and ridiculousness and wrongdoings of politics and people. Whatever awful thing had happened, you could watch him and even though the problem didn't get better, you at least could work through it and just go "Ya, somebody fucking gets it." And

I agree. However, it's always better to have these "common sense" statistics backed by hard scientific data. Otherwise it's "just anecdotes" and critics can ignore it.

"A well-regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."

so only a rich man on a mission can ...

If someone pees in public they must register as a sex offender. If someone beats up their partner, the police doesn't give a damn, until there's one or more dead bodies. Why not make them register somewhere, too?

I have lots of complicated feelings about Michael Bloomberg, but thank God he's on this gun crusade. The Congress effectively forbids the ATF, CDC, the FTC nor any university to compile data and conduct research about guns, so only a rich man on a mission can provide evidenced-based research about the public health

The fact that you are getting attacked for saying this shows the pig-headed ignorance of commenters on this site when it comes to obesity.

Not everyone with a dissenting opinion (or an unkind one) is automatically a troll. I was thinking the same thing, that this woman had to be horrifically unhealthy to not realize she was pregnant and then deliver a child who so clearly is a product of gestational diabetes (a condition usually caught in the second

Seriously, no one cares about his boners.

Yes. He is the person who deserves our sympathy here.
