I've considered it actually. It's a cost/ benefit analysis thing ;)

Thank you for enlightening not just me, but us all. You are a true gem.

When men have told me that they're happy they're circumcised, that's the main reason that they cite. I don't personally even know if it's true or not - that uncut guys come faster. It probably varies more from person to person than from cut to uncut. I think it's just part of the lore at this point.

There are various degrees of "mutilation". When someone refers to "female genital mutilation", they may be talking about something that's benign as these things go, such as the removal of just the clitoral hood (type 1). Often times they're talking about something much more invasive, such as the removal of the entire

Whoever thinks that is a complete asshole. I'm sure glad that's not what I think at all.

I have one male friend who was uncut, he didn't like it so he went and got circumsized as an adult by a plastic surgeon. It would be great if parents would leave their boys uncut and let them make the decision as men, so that they can have it whichever way they want.

If it were just the clitoral hood and it was such a widespread practice that carried the same stigma for "uncut" women, my stance would be identical on both issues.

I think it would be a truly wonderful thing to start leaving these things up to the man by leaving him be, and then later on if he wants to get rid of the foreskin for cosmetic reasons, he can - a la labiaplasty for women.

That's fantastic! I have no bias against cut or uncut. Love all the penises.

That's the point - is that it tends to be an issue of little impact either way

I do not identify as a feminist, nor have I ever taken a women's studies course. I'm actually a web developer. My opinions aren't merely cliches, thanks though.

As stated in the original post- I was literally expressing the consensus the men I've spoken to about it have told me. There are many men for whom "lasting longer" is a priority. Who are you to dictate what someone's sexual priorities should be?

I agree with you 100%. It's about avoiding the stigma. It would be nice if there weren't one, and fighting against the stigma is something I support completely.

Maybe the right choice is not doing it and then letting your son at whatever age decide he can do it if he wants, like male labiaplasty (sp?). It's more of a cosmetic thing than anything else.

It's not really important to me at all that babies get snipped or don't, and I don't really think me = feminist. I moreso identify with the "humanist" label, if I need one.

Sorry I just thought-sploded on you. These are things I don't really want to get into a fruitless argument about with some MRA-type. You seemed safe ;) haha

When circumcisions are done badly they can result in lack of sensitivity. And I guess if I was a man and was circumcised or not circumcised, I would occasionally wonder what it would be like to be on the other side of the fence. It just seems like a lot of freaking out and dwelling on something that probably doesn't

You're a total unicorn to me. Tell me what bothers you about it?

People like to make a big stink about this topic right now, but what's funny is that every guy I've talked to about this who has been circumcised says that they're glad they were. When was the last time a dude was like "YEAH THE PROBLEM WITH MY PENIS IS THAT IT'S NOT SENSITIVE ENOUGH. I RLY WISH MY PENIS ENJOYED TEH

I know that the point of this is being mad at people for critiquing or focusing too much on Kate's body, but I honestly have to say that I thought she looked far better during the last leg of her pregnancy than she usually does. She looked underweight before, at least to me anyway. Keep the FIVE extra pounds and be
