Not to start up the whole “safe spaces" discourse again, but as a women attending college, that's essentially what these exclusively-female spaces are. And it kind of pisses me off that some asshole can't get over the fact that sometimes we just want to be in a space without men, while still being in public.

You missed the real money quote from the article:

I love how you always pretend sexism isn’t real. It’s so charming in a gross, extraordinarily stupid way.

Agree 100%. Bill Maher and his writers especially seem absolutely incapable of mentioning Christie without making a fat joke. It’s lazy writing and it lets him off the hook for the real damage he causes people with his policies. It always infuriates me.

But where are the gross t-shirts and bumperstickers deliberately calling out Christie’s bodyparts, or the size of his dick? I haven’t seen them at any convention yet.

Guarantee you the men who buy that button will have a body like Peter Griffin or Homer Simpson. Same intelligence level too.

NCAA should also step in. This is much bigger than infractions violating amateur status. Have a backbone about something other than forced exploitation of athletes.

“man-pons”

Calling it a “celebration of cultures past” sounds slightly dismissive of current cultures that engage in the activities listed as part of their daily lives.

It’s called “stupidity”. It isn’t catching but it is quite prevalent.

I have tried, but I still can’t understand the “I love Bernie, which means I hate Hillary so much I’ll vote for Trump” process.

I wish female actors would stop elevating this asshole to some god status because he writes (some) meaty roles for women. He wrote one great role for a woman but most of his female roles are not great for women but meaty for female actors who usually have nothing but bones to work with. It’s absolutely not the same
