I think he’s a victim of a numbers game because the voters still haven’t figured out what to do with all the steroids guys. Posnanski for one believes he should be a hall of famer but just can’t find a place for him on the ballot with everyone else who needs to get in.

Oh god, I missed the part where Larry Eustachy told someone other than himself to grow up.

Huh, so really the point of this article is to let everyone know Larry Eustachy is still around?

I mean, skiing downhill is fun in a terrifying way. Skiing cross country is  work. I mean it’s good for you and the scenery is cool, but it’s just winter jogging.

I guess that was the point after actually finishing the article, but that sentence by itself made my brain automatically drop to the comment box.

“Schilling is big on the rights of free Americans to do as they please, so long as they take responsibility for their actions”

The paragons of patience over in Cleveland are going to keep Hue Jackson (correctly) after going 1-15.

He gets a bad rap because he was a truly innovative college coach for a long time (although with a penchant for looking the other way during those pesky NCAA violations), but as far as his NFL chops go it has to be Barry Switzer as most unimpressive and then everyone else fighting for second place right?

I was never really into Phish but through the magic of Napster/whatever piratey stuff was around at the time I listened to a lot of their songs. I told my buddy who was a really big fan how I liked a couple of things and then sat through a half hour of him telling me why the things I liked were the worst pieces the

The Texans can move on from the idea of Brock as a starter (and I’d imagine pretty much have), but they can’t get out of that contract until after next year. If they cut him now there’s 25 million in dead money to their cap, or 19 million post June 1.

Every time I see an article on Deadspin about boxing (linked in this case) I hope it’s HamNo coming back to what he should have been doing all along. Most of the time I am disappointed.

That was a bad sequence for sure but I’d blame not pounding the rock more than anything. Oakland’s running game was working all night, and especially working after Derrick Johnson went down—which is a damned shame by the way, that’s probably his career :(

If I missed an update somewhere in the article forgive me, but since this is up a year later I have to ask. Have you cracked?

“And Hackenberg, on whom Maccagnan used a second-round pick, remains on layaway for a team that doesn’t actually have better options.”

Oh god she’s married to a guy named Gerry.

I suspect the Chiefs aren’t as good as their record, but I feel the same way about the Raiders with all of their comeback victories. I suppose I’d give the Raiders the nod between the two because they’re coming back with offense instead of timely turnovers, but the point differential is similar.

Well, Bliss is coaching NAIA ball. After coaching at a high school while his show cause was ongoing (and I believe he got in trouble for illegal recruiting there too which is sadly funny). But really that’s a long way away from D1 ball and I’ll consider him to have ‘won’ instead of ‘not losing as much as he should

Um, this chain turned into some political argument I notice. But as far as sportsmanship in that game goes Michigan gained 119 yards through the air on the day, put the backups in at halftime and just ran the ball constantly. One TD at the beginning of the second half was a pass, one of two total the backup

Speaking for all punchsport fans: Please write more about boxing HamNo.

Alex you just got done winning in overtime, go to sleep!
