It would have made more sense to flare the rear arches a bit too to balance it out. The back is still mostly a slab. However, it is glorious that Mercedes brings this to the US, and that if ones bowels are stout enough, you can pick one up for less than $30K a few years down the road.

You forgot C-Class sedans and station wagons “with the right options” (a.k.a. “Exclusive” trim), too, and all of S-Class and Mercedes-Maybach sedans. So sad.

Only on S63 4 doors.

I really don’t like Mercedes’ interior design language. I’ll take BMW’s over this any day.

Fingers crossed its at most a grill and or bumper replacement. Amg bodies are getting more and more bespoke and unfortunately the hood stars havent been coming along. I half considered a glk as my run about a couple years back but the only way you can sorta get the look is with a brabus grill

Pictured: how it’s done

I think I’d actually go with the E53 if I was in the market. Yes the 63 has the bragging rights, but the 53 is seriously quick and probably a bit more comfortable (and less obnoxiously loud).

Definitely can’t hate on that interior. To me this speaks of the good taste and richness Lexus nailed in the late 90s/early 00s.

WHY DO THEY MAKE PASTE SO DAMN TASTY THEN????

Chrysler: (eating paste, accidentally sells a shitload of RAM trucks, Jeeps and 12-year-old sedans)

There is no second wave.  We never got out of the first wave.  This is just the first wave reasserting itself

Sad, really. we seem to think we can just ignore it and pretend it doesn’t exist, and it’ll magically go away.

The US buries it’s head in the sand. Attention span is too short for these types of issues.

Absolutely, If anything the economy will be running in limp mode until a vaccine is introduced. Just look at the latest virus projections:

Ford: Hey, we’re churning out trucks and SUVs and even ventilators!
Where’s our headline?

There seems to be a HUGE disconnect between these so-called “comeback”stories and reality. The reality is that we are barely getting into the eye of the storm of the virus. It has not gone away. Numbers are rising. The 2nd wave is probably going to be a lot worse. And somehow we are in comeback mode? None of that adds
