That's not what I'm saying. In most cases, educating people is extremely important. I just think that in this specific case it wouldn't have swayed enough people. I might be cynically buying into the idea that there's no way to compromise. I hate the us vs them mentality, I just think that a lot of the people who

She's my favorite late night host and I agree. I appreciate her bite and willingness to potentially come off as unlikable but I highly doubt that her brand of humor would convince me of anything if I weren't already open to her message.

It seems like at least some people voted for him either because they thought he'd bring back manufacturing jobs or because they'd rather have any Republican than any Democrat. They're not all bigots, but I don't think any of them would change their mind after a heartfelt conversation either.

Talking to people wouldn't have changed this election. The people who voted for Trump don't want to be told why they're wrong, they want to be told that they're right regardless of the hate they spew.

I enjoyed it because the idea of pranking someone in such a banal and un-whimsical way is hysterical to me. The two of them act so devilish and mischievous when none of the people they prank give a shit in the slightest. It might not be that you don't get it as much as you don't think the strangeness is as funny as I

This season is really reaching the potential that I saw in the first season. I thought the last few episodes of season one were pretty good, but the second season has been consistently enjoyable and the corny earnestness has been toned down enough that it's more warm than cringey.

It probably is, but it doesn't really bother me. Gay characters tend to be introduced in a way that defines their identity for the rest of their time on the series. I like that Alex was given other personality traits before we learned that she likes women and that her crush on a woman is introduced as nonchalantly as

Grey's Anatomy is the only other recent one I can think of.

Her damsel in distress role was what made me dislike her as a character. She was introduced as this helpless character whose life depended on Matt Murdoch's kindness and charity and she never really got out of that role.

She was always borderline unwatchable to me.

The shared universe BS is so exhausting now. Even in the tv shows, the forced crossovers are tiring and unnatural and it's infinitely worse in the movies. It completely hems in the creativity of the writers and forces them to incorporate some nonsense that ties into the 6 other movies it's supposed to set up. I wish

The theme "Heyguesswhatguys the robots are more human than the people!!!!" is definitely clunky and ham-handed. Westworld has parts that are interesting to me, but the smug self-satisfaction the show has for a pretty unsubtle theme is just a bit too much for me every week.

I don't know. I think those comparisons get the point across that modern day America isn't necessarily any better than Germany when Hitler rose to power and that the same scapegoating, xenophobic rhetoric that made Hitler so attractive to people who didn't want to take responsibility or their own problems or accept

I liked Freakshow too. I thought the Halloween episodes were some of the best the show has ever had and there were some really amazing individual plot lines. Overall, it's probably my second least favorite season of AHS, but I love AHS so even the worse seasons are still pretty damn enjoyable to me.

I guess it shows that this might be a tactic that is being implemented in favor of both candidates.

In my own biased opinion, I'd always thought McCarthyism and anti-Russian thought was a more associated with political conservativism because they disliked communism. It's weird that it's now something that liberals use to discredit Trump and the conservative movement as a whole.

What do we all think of the segment on professional Russian, pseudo-alt-right trolls who're trying to sabotage the election? Strange and frightening truth or fear-mongering propaganda?

I don't see her as a knockoff Oliver at all. His comedy is much more silly/zany/playful whereas hers is much more biting and angry. She also never tells off photoshopped pictures above her right shoulder. You might prefer his comedy to hers, but I think she's more than unique enough not to be a mere knockoff.

Yeah, I probably should've waited too. Season six has also gotten better after the mid-season twist, so it might even end up being better than season four for me.

Asylum was definitely the most polished and coherent, which is definitely saying something for American Horror Story. Murder House was great because it was one of the only years where it actually seemed like Ryan Murphy and the other writers had an idea of where and how the season would end. It was also just so
