Most people would probably say no, but I thought it was. It's pretty messy and not everything fits together perfectly but I really enjoyed the characters and I thought all of the storylines were really interesting. If you have some extra time, watch the first episode and decide for yourself.

They have. I guess maybe Ryan Murphy is planning on making the characters from both seasons regulars and not just random guests who pop up for five minutes in an episode?

I enjoyed Coven a lot too. It was strange in an entertaining way and didn't sicken me in the way Asylum did at times. I'd rank the seasons 1>5>3>2>4>6, though I've liked every season of American Horror Story, so I don't really represent the AVC community as a whole.

Not a hard limit, I just think that like comedy, horror is tighter and more entertaining when it's not stretched out to 2+ hours. You're welcome to disagree, I just thought I'd give a bit of my reasoning for why I thought The Exorcist was dull since you didn't seem to understand where I was coming from.

That's true. None of the women are solely defined by their romantic relationships, especially Jessica and Trish, whose main relationship is their platonic connection to each other. Luke Cage's main focus is race, so I can't expect it to be perfect about gender, I just wish it hadn't introduced Missy et al through

It is a pretty annoying trend in a lot of shows that aren't specifically for women. The female characters tend to be defined by their romantic relationships to the male leads instead of just being allies or platonic friends. Karen showed her gratitude to Matt coming onto him when he let her stay in his apartment and

I think you have a valid point, though I see that as more of a groan-worthy, kind of lazy attempt to seem PG-13 edgy than the most offensive thing she's ever done. It's pretty common on SNL. A recent cold open had a joke about Donald Trump saying Hillary was "such a criminal she (was) practically a black." It wasn't

I might've been burned out on horror movies by the time I got around to watching it, but other than Regan speaking in tongues, vomiting and jabbing herself in the crotch with a crucifix, it was just a bunch of people chatting without much of a sense of urgency. It was also about forty minutes too long. The sweet spot

So do I. I'd much rather see the queens make jokes while they put on their makeup or work on the challenges. The atmosphere of camaraderie really makes watching Drag Race a much more pleasant experience.

This isn't a movie, but I thought the book The Ruins was really effective at building up this sense of inevitability and dread that stuck with me long after I finished reading it. I heard the movie was horrible, so I wasn't expecting much from it, but it was a lot better than I expected. I also thought The Ruins Part

I feel like this is an accurate (and hilarious) description of all zombies other than the fast, hivemind-controlled ones in World War Z.

TWD is the definition of pointless. It's just a bunch of bland and/or irritating characters making up excuses to leave their encampment and fight zombies in between the tedious non-drama of their awful relationships with each other. Plus, its beginning blatantly ripped off a movie that I already actively disliked.

Ugh. I hate that found footage has become such a popular subgenre of horror. I'm not sure what's supposed to be so frightening about people jiggling a camera, breathing heavily and shitting a brick when something bats at their tent or a piece on a chessboard moves when the characters aren't even in the room.

The Descent really scared me too. It's one of the few creature features I thought was legitimately terrifying instead of just silly. For some reason, inbreeding and alternative evolution movies creep me out, even the kinda dumb ones like Wrong Turn. I thought the blindness and amazing hearing was such great attention

I didn't think The Exorcist was scary either, or really all that good. It was pretty long and dull. It wasn't scary so much as nasty and unpleasant in the way that Human Centipede was.

Despite the bitching about how produced and inauthentic the live reunions are, I think they work much better than the low-key ones in this stage of the series.

If you respect Adore as a Drag Race competitor, I think you have to respect Naomi and Chi Chi as well. All three of them are entertaining screen presences with tons of potential who were slightly less seasoned than the winners of their seasons. Bianca also had a similar coronation as Bob after Bendela was taken out.

#CHOICES!!!!!!!!

Seasons six and eight were probably my favorites as well because other than the Laganja trainwreck, everyone seemed to get along well and genuinely like and respect each other. I know a lot of people watch reality tv for the drama, but I watch Drag Race to see talented queens do what they do best.

That's what I thought too. Very few people have their lives completely together by the time they're 23. It's not an age thing, it's just a being-too-young-to-have-reached-your-full-potential thing.
