I think some of what you’re saying here probably has merit, but comparing raw fatality numbers between autos and general aviation is not a meaningful comparison. Fatalities per million miles traveled or something like that would be a more helpful metric.

This is why big events are good for the gaming community. We’re sat here talking about a tech demo like it’s of the greatest interest, when we should be talking about McLarens being lowered from the rafters or executives excitingly proclaiming that what we’re seeing is Ridge Racer to thunderous silence.
To be fair, SAC and 2nd Gig are among the best anime series’ ever produced so the bar was exceptionally high. It’s disappointing, but sadly, not unexpected.

That’s exactly how I feel. The more I hear about neat stuff in Destiny 2 that I’ve already missed out on, permanently, the more reluctant I am to get back in. Not only do I feel like I’d be missing parts of the story, I don’t want to get caught up and feel like I’m trapped in the game to not miss future stuff.
Why remove content at all? Just make it clear that it’s “past” content in terms of the story but leave it in the game for new and returning players to experience.
