“I truly hope you realize how important setting goals are for young women, teaching them we have so much more to offer than just our bodies,” Moretz wrote.”

Now playing

I hope you’ve seen The Windsors, because if not, you’ll love how they portray Beatrice, Eugenie, and Fergie:

Maybe there’s a lesson to be learned in not making too many assumptions about a project based on a trailer. I know I’ve seen movies for which the trailer was very misleading, for good or ill. Sometimes it’s intentional, to allow for a greater impact when the actual project airs.

Thank you, Thomas Markle, for the reminder that it’s ok that I have minimum contact with my parents, even as they are getting older and in bad health. My dad regularly throws the accusation at me that I just think that I’m better than the rest of the family and that I’m embarrassed by them when that thought has never

Thomas Markle is toxic. Tox.ic. He is a narcissist and possibly dangerous and the only way to deal with a narcissist is to not engage.

Thomas Markle is the wooooooorsssst. How long before he stops getting paid for his interviews and ceases to exist in gossip? I have dumpster fire parents too but at least I’m not famous.

Lauren Gussis claims started this project with the best of intentions, and as a vehicle for working through her own issues with the subject matter - “sharing her insides.” In this regard, she considers it a very personal project; the main character’s story is based upon that of her own life, during part of which she

My friend had a shared playlist with her shitty boyfriend and when they broke up he started adding really pointed and aggressive songs to the playlist until she finally deleted the playlist altogether. He was also harassing her on other social media platforms, but Spotify was the only one she couldn’t block him on.

I swear to god male ego has gotten more fragile since the Internet. Like seriously you have to stalk women on fucking Spotify?

I totally agree. Could a person be any less hysterical than Hari Kondabolu? He’s clearly a fan who sees a problem that hurts him, and speaks eloquently and calmly about it. He’s hardly frothing with outrage.

They thought he was a terrible caricature and racist representation. In actuality, the fellow playing Ben Jabituya(Fisher Stevens) went to India and lived there for a while to get the part as authentic as he could.

“The fact that the Simpsons are yellow and not the color that passes for Caucasian in cartoons, that Mickey Mouse pink, that’s intentional. It’s taking that pink away, and making it yellow. And then taking yellow away from whatever racist connotation that that has had. And that was intentional. As many people

I have no idea who Sameer Deen is but I bet he’s an MBA suckass who doesn’t know anything about his actual product.

This should be a reminder of what a real hero is.

One way is to fight false narratives that started proliferating in the right wing media. That is very hard though. I remember not so long ago the NYT or the Guardian did a poll that showed Europeans thought there were twice as many Muslim immigrants as there actually were. Very similar to anti-latin immigrant rhetoric

No one is able to counter this guy in an intelligent way.

This thread pretty much says it all for me (twitter link follows my screenshots):

Refusing service to a “group” - blacks, gays, people with disabilites - on and on and on.... is quite different from refusing service to a particular person. In this case the mouthpiece of the president. Like you might refuse service to Harvey Weinstein. He has made it very clear who he is and what he stands for and I

Ok, I’ll bite.
