We need to think about how we are letting the word outraged be used. I frequently see the critized using the word outrage to shut down conversation. They try to make what is plenty of time sensible criticism into hysterics. 

No, you don´t get flagged. Maybe if they overstayed their visa they´re flagged? I´m from a border city in Mexico, tens of thousands of middle class people here have done this without issue. Border officials don´t care.

It works exactly the same way in English than in Spanish. The word is gendered identically. Some people just don´t like it.
