I find it ironic that someone who cares enough to correct a minor colloquial nuance misspelled “if” with “of” in their critique.
I’m not advocating major party status, I’m simply suggesting that minor parties be granted the same exposure that would allow them, if the public finds their platform attractive, to reach major party status.

I’m a fan of ballot access as the threshold. Candidates on the ballots of, say, 40 of the states should be allowed to participate. Even as rigged as the ballot laws are in some states (gamed by Rs and Ds to limit third party intrusion), with some effort and traction, it’s possible to gain access to most.
