What liquid liner are you using? I think pen-types, like the Stila or Kat Von D or Ardency Inn ones are easier all around. Keep the pressure quite light- if you press hard, the edges will bleed, and use confident smooth strokes. I usually do one stroke above the lash line (depending on the thickness I want), then fill

Not sure if this will help, but it’s probably due to the liner dragging your skin. I tend to put my finger of the opposite hand on the inner corner of my eye and press down lightly while I draw the liner on. Seems to hold the skin taught without dragging and mucking up the shape. When I first started with eyeliner,

I hope it goes good for you!

It's the best thing, right?

I see an LCSW as well, and my insurance covers it, which in a way makes me feel better about my job, bc it's providing me with the means to address something I have always needed to address. And, best part, he has a liberal texting policy!

Wipe the brush as you take it out the pot, then go very slowly, draw short lines that end up connecting, and practice. Some people say resting their elbow on a table with a mirror on, and looking into it helps, that may work for you.

Thank you SO much. This has been incredibly helpful. Can’t tell you how much this means to me.

It took me a while to find a good psychiatrist and even longer to find a regular therapist, (I went through five) but it was worth it in the end. I think the therapist finder mentioned by FeedtheDevilSoup is a great idea. Then, if one session isn’t great, try someone else? $400 is a lot though. Call your insurance and

Ok now that sounds promising :)

Oh, OK. Makes sense!

You’re right; I haven’t considered anyone other than a psychiatrist because I was afraid it would devolve into just an hour-long “pay for a friend” session with someone who had an M.S. in Feelings. I’m awful :(

Thanks so much. I will look into this, too.

It is insane. The guy I went to before that was $300 but then bumped it to $250 when I talked to him about it. I’m very fortunate to have had access to top professionals but I still haven't felt right about them.

idk if it counts as “beauty”, but I made two new dresses this month and I think I look pretty good so I’m posting them.

That seems INSANE price wise. What is your insurance through? Work? Have you looked into therapists who offer skype sessions?

I need to find a brand of lip stain that really colors your lips and lasts through a workday. If one of these exists, will somebody let me know? Thank you! Also, I expect it to be a little pricey so I'm okay with that.

In summer I wear very little makeup ‘cause it won’t stay on in the Santa Fe heat, but! Just the other day there was a Kinja Deal advertising a Sephora twofer on the excellent Bite Beauty High Pigment lip pencils. So two of those are on the way! They really stay, for hours, and the colors are gorgeous. I got the

My skin is clearing up. I plan to try this skin care to reduce acne scars,

Yay beauty thread!

I’m on my phone and kinja hates me, and the methotrexate is turning me into Sleeping Beauty, post-menopause editoon, but let's give this a try anyway.
