Christmas in the Car is definitely the worst episode. I loathe comedy that relies on everyone being an asshole to the protagonist for humor (see also: Meet the Parents.) and it felt very out of place in the series.

Gayle's episodes are usually very funny, but I can see them Urkelling her since they've been using her a lot more lately.
this the correct answer, especially being that he was one of the best characters from Season 1. Britta's sort of unlikable in Season 1, but gets better pretty quickly. Chang just became flat out obnoxious and has basically become the archetype for the rest of Ken Jeong's career, apparently.
Though I like them more than other Post-Punk Revival bands (Interpol is boring as fuck, fight me) in that I think they get the general feel of the era down pat… something about the band just never really works for me. It sounds very much like a band who is probably great live, but in the studio sounds fairly shallow…
this band wishes they were anywhere near as crushing as Swans. This sounds like a band who can recite all the tropes of the Post-Punk era but add no personality to it beyond extra pretension.
not a bad episode, but it felt so… pointless. Like they could've ended with the previous episode and even with all the lingering subplots (which should've been addressed earlier…) it would felt Final. This just felt like a sort of lazy way to tie up everything and often just felt like a Scream Queens episode.
hey, she already has a flannel. And so does Ian! The spin-off practically writes itself.
I feel like Fiona taking assistant manager is yet another bait and switch. It'll cause conflict with her boss/boyfriend, and that'll be that?
I don't know about derail, but it's more like it felt like it was building toward something and just… hasn't. With not much plot actually left, I'm not really sure what could really be done in one more episode.
I'm with you on the ending. I liked the rest of the episode, but how it ended seemed slightly out of line with what Ash as a character would've done; it seemed a little too short-sighted even for him.
Which show are they moving to Tuesdays?
I thought the first episode was good, but it does take on a bit more than it can chew by the end of the season, even if I thought it was otherwise enjoyable.
probably struggled to remember anything about it. Fairly obscure pick that doesn't even get the benefit of bitching about how omnipresent it was.
In addition, almost any blockbuster today is clocking in at 2 1/2 hours or more.
I'm a bit surprised to see this episode being considered one of the best of an otherwise uneven seasons. It's like all the hallmarks of the era's worst tendencies. Like all it's missing is Panda rape, yet people are talking very highly of it. It's a bit more focused on plot than other similar episodes from later…
those who thought Warpaint's last album was too languid will probably like this, but it's kind of hit or miss.
they have their fair amount of bullshit, but I'm not sure how they managed to be crowned King of the Shitpile that was late 90s/early 00s Rock when much worthier contenders were just as prevalent.
not sure if Doakes would keep Dexter's secret; doesn't seem very believable. that said, at the very least the killed him off way too quickly. Should've had at least 3 seasons with him.
which is sort of odd as I don't really find this season to be any better or worse than the last 15+ seasons. The two cited great episodes are complete opposites in quality (Halloween episode = good, Lisa's friend = largely pointless and typical of late Simpsons) while the others are just kind of ok.
I feel like it's mostly an issue of the producers showing their age when they fall back on really old references, which makes things even worse when the modern references fall flat.
