I'm not arguing that Ooo hasn't (or shouldn't be) flesh out, just that the episodes that generally center on minor characters just aren't really that interesting beyond being yet more world-building. I thought James, Rootbeer Guy, and Apple Wedding were rather dull episodes.

I dunno, I liked bits and pieces of the episode and I thought it got better as it went along, but as a whole it just felt like an overly long way to close up some loose plot lines.

hm, I thought this season started out great, but it's kind of dipped in quality when it started to put forth the idea (unintentional or not) of a larger plot involving PB being a dictator of sorts and we got a whole bunch of episodes centered around minor (or newly introduced characters) that were mostly just there to

I thought it started out good but ran out of plot fairly quickly.

Ian was going by the stage name Curtis.

same here. Too much going on and not enough time to fill in all the details. if it was expanded to a 2-part episode it would probably work better.

I have to admit, when I heard the statue was crying, I was a bit disappointed that it wasn't a fountain as well.

I'm generally indifferent to Fallon, but he's absolutely awful as a host. His interviews mostly consisted of the guest talking to themselves while Fallon giggled along the entire time.

I had heard from a friend that Mallrats was shown on ABC(?) once. I honestly didn't believe him until I started hearing it from other people a few years later. I can't imagine why they bothered to use a movie that would involve that much editing.

I like how they followed up last episode's amazing track shot with some really fake-ass driving scenes.

eh, it's not bad, but I'm not really sure why Shoegaze fans are getting that excited over it. Are there not at least a dozen other acts that mine the same territory?

B-

I'd say Simpsons at their prime stands up quite well. Some of the references may be a bit dated, but the humor is generally there.

I'm pretty sure next season will be fairly bad. I don't dislike the show, but it does feel pretty lifeless and like it's winding down all the characters.

I would also add that jon Stewart didn't do the Craig Kilborn-type humor very well. TDS' first year or two with Jon were kind of shit; the show really didn't come into its own until around the 2000 election.

though I think Stewart is better than Kilborn, I would add that I think The Daily Show with Jon took a while to find its feet and didn't really take off until the 2000 election or so.

"Then, of course, the majority of the viewing audience hated the second season for being "too dark"."

I'm wondering if it could all be covered in an 11 minute episode or two. Secret Adventure Time movie?
