The problem is the majority of Americans really don’t care if an addict lives or dies as long as their life/death doesn’t cost them money.
The issue I always have with people talking about voting third-party, is that the third party candidates aren’t about jack shit either. This isn’t a “Democrats and Republicans and the two party system” problem; it’s a “white people run the federal government” problem.
Absolutely this. Like you, I have chronic pain and I take opiods for it, but my doctor and I have had many conversations about exactly what regimen I use and when and how I take the meds. He knows I try OTC remedies first for any pain under a 7 on the scale, then only go to the meds if several doses there don’t work.…
I know, those damn facts getting in the way of irrational, emotion-based responses.
