Well, it's been in Canada for a year or two now, and while I don't have one, I have been passed by more than one while I was driving 130kph (80 mph) on the highway. Safety wise, they are pretty small, and therefore hard to hit. The most survivable accident is the one they don't get into.

Actually, there is a yard in Stoney Creek that specialized in these. A "last chance" car lot would clear out their unsold inventory every once in a while, and there would be 3-4 cars in the yard with windshield prices attached.
