I love the A3 because it allows me to step out of my Protege5 and into something more luxurious without having to learn to look for a different car in the parking lot!

Seeing that it has a turbo, and, well, it's a miller cycle, and it's DI, it likely operates like a 2-stroke diesel:

Oooh, noisy and shaky... Where do I sign up?

Shades of 2003-2005! So much virtual time spent in the virtual assembly of virtual equinoxes!!!

How come no one told me that it's "Cars that nobody gives a crap about" week on Jalop.com?

The first family sedan I remember was a FIAT. My dad bought it used from a "Friend". I strap-towing it home from the "friend's" house behind our 70's dodge conversion van.

So, we have estabilshed, fully 2 days before the Jalop Final Summation, that this is a completely pointless vehicle for anyone who has more sense than money. Well done team!

Can someone do up a comparison of cost/capability/economy of this vs. a Z71 pickup? Because unless I am missing something, it's a way to spend a lot of money to look like someone with no sense, length, or girth.

Has anyone been to Trifun.com? The production line is made of 2x6's.

My pops spends 6 months of the year in Italy, and every time he goes, he asks what I want. Every year, I say "A fiat 500". Every year he brings me stories of my extended family, some very nice cheese, and 0 Fiat 500's.

HA! I totally missed that. It is a Bass-ackwards Hotrod.

I have, on several ocasions, com very close to buying a 912. With V-dub guys pulling 200 hp out of streetable beetle motors now, I'd be tempted to "downgrade" to the beetle motor and enjoy super sleeper status!

I like it.
