I disagree with almost everything you’re saying.

Ooh, that clip is SO deep. So much better than DeNiro in Raging Bull.

We ALL understand what he’s saying and the point he’s making.

I think it’s closer to a well-regarded chef saying McDonald’s isn’t “cuisine” or an author saying James Patterson isn’t “literature.” Obviously, it depends on your exact definitions of the words and whether they connote a certain quality or artistry, but I wouldn’t say those statements are ridiculous on their face.

Why would he back down from being right?

Given Artie Lange’s recent condition, they got a built in plot line for her to come back...

“Look at you! You baby gorilla!”

I’d leave a longer comment here, but I need to...go...lift...weights? What?

Correct.

The fact that he’s super rich also means he’s got an army of hangers-on feeding him absolute constant bullshit and reinforcing his worst habits. That kind of signal-to-noise ratio is difficult for people in a healthy mindset to deal with, and it’s pretty clear Kanye’s mindset is a million miles from healthy at this

Honestly, at this point, what’s more likely:

I use this line way more than anybody needs to hear it.

Gavin Belson has been defanged by overuse in the same way that Q was on Star Trek: The Next Generation.

Maybe not exactly, but there is definitely an undercurrent of that type of arrogance throughout the book Moneyball. The most humble Beane has ever been is when he admitted “My shit doesn’t work in the playoffs.”

We all chuckled when Mark McGwire warily muttered “I’m not here to talk about the past” to Congress, but it turns out he was just ahead of his time.

I keep thinking back to how their current ballpark opened as Enron Park, and while they’ve long dissociated themselves from Enron (they had to pay $25 million to remove all the signage and rename the stadium!) but I feel like the “smartest guys in the room” legacy lives on.

Luhnow should join forces with fellow McKinsey alum Pete Buttigieg on a plan: Gender Justice For Those Who Want It After They Are Called Liars And Defamed But Then Sorta Not.

MLB instructed the home team to wear alternate jerseys so the president is the only obvious white national in the stadium.

Is it redemption, though? I thoroughly enjoyed El Camino, but I didn’t see it as a redemption story so much as the conclusion of the escape of Breaking Bad’s most sympathetic character. Nothing Jesse does really “redeems” him, he just sort of gets away, and gets a little revenge along the way.

See I felt like the show dealt with the guilt so much that at this point I wanted to see what him being over it looked like, which is what we got.
