You’re right. The Democrats should continue their time-tested strategy of doing absolutely nothing.

It really does. They let the Sith rise up and take over the galaxy ride under their own noses.

Without even looking at the posters, I bet one of the heroes of the movie is Han Solo.

Indie rock, or at least the version of indie rock covered in this article, died when Hipster Runoff went dark.

Silent Majority rock is a really good term, I’m gonna start using it. The weird thing is, there really isn’t much new-ish mainstream rock music anymore. I mean, I guess Imagine Dragons?

These nerds will never be happy about anything. TFA was too much of a re-hash of ANH, TLJ literally destroyed their childhoods and blah blah blah. I didn’t love everything in TLJ, but it was more good than bad and seeing these dorks fill their diapers over it makes me like it even more.

That was the controversial development of TLJ that I loved the most: the understanding that the Jedi sorta sucked ass.

Jesse Lingard is a type of player that Fergie’s teams always had. For every Cristiano Ronaldo or Eric Cantona, there was a Park Ji-Sung or John O’Shea. Yes, relying on Jesse Lingard isn’t ideal, but I think Billy is selling him short.

Ron Karkovice, of course.

It seems like I’ve known many examples of this archetype throughout my life - the rich dork who everyone has to pretend to be friends with because his dad has a bitchin’ boat and big lake house.

Chuck and Jimmy’s courtroom showdown was one of the most tense and heartwrenching scenes I’ve ever seen. The whole gamut of anger to pity to Pyrrhic victory was on display.

You’re right that the politics of The Last Jedi are a lot more meaningful than whatever they were going for in the prequels.

It’s really stupid. Just make them part of the Republic’s army or something!

Laura Dern’s character was fine...but Hux was probably the highlight of the movie for me.

Laura Dern’s character looked like she was dropped in from The Hunger Games.

I had to read Wookiepedia to figure out how the new Republic, the First Order, and the Resistance all fit together. It’s not terribly clear.

Yeah, I think there are some legit gripes to be had with the movie beyond fanboy complaining. Leia as Sandra Bullock in Gravity was kinda lame, CGI Space Monaco felt like something straight out of the prequels, and Laura Dern’s character felt a little shoehorned in. I still liked it overall, but it’s not perfect.

You’re more animal than man.

The casino planet was really the only major misstep of the movie, to me. It felt like it was dropped in from Attack of the Clones.

This is gonna be impossibly geeky, but could there be a Rule Of Two being imposed on the Jedi by the Force? The Sith chose it, but maybe to bring balance, the Jedi have to follow it, too?
