I hate the Drake.

The only movie I've seen in an empty theater was Reign of Fire. It was the first time I ever made out in a movie theater, so I remember very little of that movie.

Ah, Smokin' Aces. The Ben Affleck/Ray Liotta/Jeremy Piven vehicle nobody wanted.

Whatever happened to Josh Hartnett? He had that movie and 30 Days of Night, and then kinda nothing else?

Captain…thank you.

I'm here for the Congratulations Appreciation Society.

I also would like to share my fondness for that particular album.

Era Vulgaris is kinda uneven and really frontloaded, IMO. I love the first half or so of the album, but the back half kinda drags (other than Make It Wichu).

I generally prefer Fun Beck to Sad Beck (I like Midnite Vultures while Sea Change bored me to death), but I like the balance on Mutations.

It straddles the line between Fun Beck and Sad Beck. It represents the Duality of Beck.

They seem like a band where a Greatest Hits album would be a really useful way of dipping your toes in.

Mutations is the best Beck album. Very few people agree with me on that, it seems.

I've made an attempt at getting into GBV lately after "Motor Away" came up a Spotify playlist. I wrote them off years ago because "Teenage FBI" was on the soundtrack of the NCAA football Xbox game my old roommate and I played constantly and I thought it sucked.

See, I could rank it as high as third (behind Songs for the Deaf and Rated R) and no lower than fourth (putting self titled above it). I loved it, and I'm itching for some new stuff from them.

I saw him at Pitchfork a few years ago and couldn't really get into it. Maybe I should give him another shot.

Oh yeah. I laughed hysterically, but Nick really came out guns blazing.

The Patreon episode that dropped yesterday was uh…problematic. Hysterically funny, but it's probably for the best that it was a bonus episode.

I liked how they described the De Crecio/Upset Guv'nor episode as "Billy Crystals' Jazz Man character, but for Europeans."

Everyone swears it's better because it is better.

Yes, Mr. Fescue, everything stinks.
