I totally agree. It veers real close to corny after a while, IMO.

TPAB still feels a little too much like eating my vegetables. I know that it's good for me, I just don't always enjoy it. GKMC is still his best.

The Black Mirror riff on the Chapo episode was hilarious, as was the Bill Maher republicans bit. Adam is a good sport.

YOUR NAME IS NEEDLEDICK!

I like Nick Swardson, too. I totally forgot about his show, but it seemed like it came from an era where Comedy Central gave a bunch of comedians sketch shows in hopes of finding another Chappelle's Show-level hit.

The Last Airbender (which I never saw) sort of represents the absolute worst of the early 2010s onslaught of poorly made 3D cash grabs. It, the Clash of the Titans movie with Liam Neeson and John Carter all sort of blend together in my mind as one big pile of terrible movie commercials I saw a million times 5-7 years

I did the same thing with my Super Nintendo when I got my N64. I wish I still had it.

Sleep is awesome. I was way into stoner metal in high school but somehow didn't get into Sleep until much later on.

Whatever language Pootie Tang speaks.

His vocals on Long Live Rock n Roll Roll by Rainbow are my favorite. That song rules.

Matthew Sweet wrote some really, really good songs.

I'm still not totally sold on the new Spoon. It's not bad, I just don't know if I like it as much as their past stuff.

I've been alternating between Mastodon's Crack The Skye (for like the second or third week in a row) and the last few Beach House records. It strikes a good balance.

I had never heard the Father John Misty/Kanye comparison, but it makes a a lot of sense. I like Kanye a lot, but I can't stand Father John Misty for the very reasons that some can't stand Kanye (he's an outspoken doofus).

EDIT: reply fail.

The terror of family court spares no man.

You look grotesque.

True, true. Dominic West, especially.

Charlie Day acts drunk more realistic than I've ever seen any other actor do.

Season 7 is really, really strong. Frank's Pretty Woman and Frank Reynolds' Little Beauties are two of my all-time favorite episodes.
