PPS - I had a 2014 Fusion Energi for 4 years, and which i sold for $12 or $13k. My 2019 is nicer, with a larger battery, so I’m banking on $14k after 4 years, or ~ $12k depreciation. $3k per year is not bad, and I’m saving $100 per month in gas costs compared to a 25 mpg sedan. So that takes it down to around $2k per…
I am the proud, unabashed owner of a 2019 Ford Fusion Energi titanium... though maybe a little less so after the article and comments, lol.
The PHEV qualifies for HOV lane access in some of these markets, which is a draw for many people.”
If you were able to get 42mpg with no electric juice... then what would this get without lugging around all the extra electric stuff? 50mpg?
So instead of adding all the weight to a Crosstrek, I decided to add all the weight to a WRX! Solves the lack of horsepower problem quite handily! Not saying my car is an offorad vehicle by any means, but my Subaru now can get me places that it couldn’t before. It’s just a tad bit more capable while still retaining…
The older I get the more I realize that it just makes them happy. A small percentage will actually use that winch. You look at David and his 1930's Jeep with skinny tires and sheet metal seat. He went to Moab and did the same trails as the massive bro-trucks that spent more in aftermarket do-dads than David did on the…
Eh, why not? I say you’re probably more likely to get stuck in your Crosstrek, than your Wrangler Rubicon. So in this case, the winch might actually prove to be MORE useful on the front of the Subaru.
To me this is like the difference between gym muscles and job muscles. Each has its downsides. Each has its advantages.
i see these allot and I shake my head. not a Red Foreman head shake of shame. like that kind of half proud smiling head shake you’d give after your kid does something kinda cool but super dumb. you do you subaru guy.
Sorry, but I see nothing wrong with this. More people should embrace buying realistic offroad vehicles, ones that fit their needs. No, you don’t need at minimum a 4Runner TRD Pro because you like to hike, and all of the trailheads that you get to are right off of a main highway where there are freaking Honda Fits in…
why do people think they can judge anyone’s choice in vehicle? especially for something as superficial as being kept clean.
My brother recently bought an Outback, lifted it and put bigger tires. My wife and I just bought her an Outback and the first thing I did was put rally mudflaps on it. Now she wants a basket for the top. I like this trend. I don’t need to go fast, just a good daily that’s quite capable if ever necessary.
Not unless you happen to live in Anywhereelseistan.
“Well I was just swapping my front end and I found some parts white but last part to find was a HD hood and I found one but it was yellow and there’s a page here in our state where there’s a lot of parts for sale and trade so I was just hoping I found the owner of a white HD hood that would wanna trade and well that…
“I happen to like the restyled look of the 2021 Chevy Suburban and Tahoe SUVs.” -Andrew P. Collins, 12-11-19
