I don’t say that it’s the only Dante I cared... but yeah I liked that Dante a lot. He was great. There was actual character progression with this Dante and the cast in the game was equally compelling. It’s just people who haven’t given the game a honest chance that say otherwise.

These are my real feels. If for no other reason, the fixed cameras of the previous entries were a turn off. But also the character of Dante himself in the other games is incredibly unlikable. DMC’s controls were tight AF, and made me feel amazing at the beginning of the game, with barely any skills unlocked, and super

As someone who aged out of my relatively minor esports career, let me assure you that the hands must indeed be very well trained to a level of endurance that most people don’t appreciate. You don’t have to breathe hard to physically exert oneself when you’re doing 500 actions per minute with precision and accuracy.

A reply I made elsewhere about the physical aspect: https://kotaku.com/1829293542

But more importantly words change meaning over time, and through use. The dictionary is defined by our use of words, not the other way round. And can be adapted. Yes esport has the word sport in it, because there are undeniable similariti

This was a fascinating read. Thanks for taking the time normally spent resting from your assumingly crazy job to play a game... about your crazy job!

Bitch.... Michelle O accomplished more in her life BEFORE she became first lady than you and your whole tornado bait trailer trash family have ever even read about. Double Ivy League Graduate. Lawyer. Hospital Administrator. Mother. Go getter. Accomplisher of many things, not the least of which is to be married to a

THIS. They're freaking tax exempt, too.

That’s great, except that sports fans keep expecting me to pay for their boondoggle stadiums with my tax money.

Uhm, that’s why they call it “esport.” Or do you also object to having the word “sport” injected there?

Also, esport “athletes” actually do dedicate significant time for physical and mental training in preparation for competition. They’re not just sitting in couches all day and playing games.

House rule here: you need to be able to use the word in a sentence without any support from a dictionary, if challenged. If you can’t, it don’t count and you lose your turn. It’s a good rule and turns Scrabble back to a word game from a memorize-the-shitty-fake-words game.

Sorry to be *that guy* but I’m pretty sure Charlie Kelly is pulling nitrous, not oxygen, from that tank in Pop Pop: the Final Solution.

This would have been the greatest thing ever.... but Thanos actually has morals and is doing what he does trying to better the universe, also he doesn’t want to fuck his daughter and Gamora isn’t even related to him

I mean, you don’t HAVE to equip the absolute most high-level gear at all times.

Most activities are level-balanced, and D2 looks at your max possible light level for drops, instead of whatever you happen to have equipped.

At a certain point, you stop having to swap gear out because of leveling and that’s when you start to refine your weapon/armor collections. That grind was similar in D1. If you get a piece of loot that has killer perks, you just sorta hold on to it until your light level progression tops out, and then you start

Developing video games is hard. Developing AAA games with MMO and RPG, PvE and PvP, and open-world elements is a gargantuan task. The idea that Bungie should have just “made Destiny 2 better” is hilarious when you consider that a thousand people are already working around the clock to make the game as good as

Aye, I think if the nametags were only visible for a few seconds, the problem would pretty much go away, since that’s the big reason Sleeper is such a monster (not the only reason, but it is the big one). If tags faded, then you’d know where players were and how many motes they have, but you wouldn’t be able to

D2 is very much improved from where it launched. Should they have learned the lessons of D1 better? Yeah, absolutely. But the game is really in a good place, right now. I’d suggest picking it back up.

I mean, I’m cautiously optimistic. Just because it’s Bioware doesn’t mean it needs to function like Dragon Age or Mass Effect on a story level (and I say this as someone who genuinely enjoyed all of Bioware’s past titles - Andromeda included). It seems like they’re basically making their own Destiny, and I’m fine with

god of war first released a patch to allow you to increase the text size, and then released another patch that increased it everywhere in the game

He clearly did. I mean... he didn’t roll around on the field with him but he did pet him. Watch the video again.
