Its not about being horrible to them, its about recognizing that muslims are becoming more extreme than the last generation (most likely because of western involvement in the ME & the spread of wahhabism) and that newcomers are easily influenced by those that take advantage of their religious devotion and grievances…

Whats tragic is that majority of muslims are sympathetic towards extremists and believe the west provoked them so the killing of people in the west is justified.
