There’s no way this happens. The Speirling can only manage to do 1.4s 0-60, and it weighs as much as a Miata, has 1000HP, a full carbon fiber chassis, active downforce, and is a one-seater. And can hit 150 in the time it takes an Ecoboost Mustang to do 60.

Since it’s probably safe to assume that a V16, even without a hybrid setup, is going to take up more space in the engine bay than a W16, that, in turn, raises questions about exactly what kind of car it will actually end up in.”

It looks like a vehicle from a dystopian movie; which would be cool if we weren’t racing headlong into said dystopia.

Matt Farrah has age and weight as contributing factors”

I had no idea these weren’t just Jeeps. <shrug>

IF, this is a huge if, the Roadster ever pulls off such a feat I’m sure there will be a handful of footnotes under it.

Seems clear the Jeep brand just got over their skis on this initiative.

Is it brilliant? Or does it only prove how most people are dumb lemmings with goldfish brains?

Wait wait wait wait wait are you saying, are you ACTUALLY IMPLYING that Elon Musk overpromises with ridiculous claims and then MASSIVELY UNDERDELIVERS and yet people still report his ridiculous claims as facts?

It’ll fly for a little while* - Elon Musk

Maybe I just don’t have premium taste, but I think the exterior of those is ugly. I saw one the other day that was black with thick chrome trim around all of the windows including the back glass and it was hideous!

If you get the chance to check out a slow mo of a dragster launch those tires are huge and the rubber basically twists around the rims on launch. Not a chance this roadster could have anything close for both size and practicality of being a road car.

They will use the same tricks they used with the Model S Plaid to hit it’s 1.99:0-60 times: subtract the rollout time, use a specially prepared surface, etc etc to lie like he always does. Just like he lied with the Cybertruck towing the Porche by only doing a 1/8th mile run,

Could it do it, possibly, should it or any street car be able to get to 60 that fast, no. Matt Farrah did some pulls in a think Rimac, and said he got physically ill from the force of the acceleration.

This just in… Elon musk lies.

The major caveat in that study, however, is that it looked at people given company cars by their employer, as opposed to people who purchased the cars themselves.

I’m just saying, people are making it seem like ICE users are spending 10s of thousands of dollars just in maintenances alone when that’s not even true. My evo alone was probably around 3-5K$ including tires, clutch, brakes and oil changes. Oil was probably only about 1000$ in 10 years...Maybe in a ferrari will you be

I don’t understand what Kosher Noshing has to do with it...

“Fictional.

I think that train has long since left the station. The whole family seems like a train wreck if even half the stuff on here wiki page is real.
