Count me among the people who believed that calling someone a “Chad” was an insult. Today I’ve learned that being called a “Chad” is apparently a compliment.

The i8 is put together in a way that strongly discourages anyone from any DIY. BMW assumed that the people buying these were not going to turn wrenches themselves.

Collin I don’t think you can get a new Camry with a V6 anymore. Thought they were all hybrid 4 cylinder now across the lineup.

True, the carbon footprint of producing a new EV is much higher than driving that Accord 10 miles back and forth until it dies (which is probably going to be never).

That’s pretty much what I ended up doing. Rather than buy a new daily driver, I bought a third car to use as fun “fair weather” car. It also more than makes up for my daily being a bit “slow”. Haha.

I’m not suggesting that the requester is doing poorly financially, just that it may come as a shock what modern Porsche ownership costs are. But I guess one could argue that it isn’t much more than other “premium” European brands.

I like the Taycan, but the Porsche tax is very real and gets expensive quick; given that the requester currently has a Honda Accord, I’m not so sure they would be looking forward to dealing with that.

I agree. To my eye even the concept car was a bit awkward looking, but the production car is just ugly.

I feel you on this. I occasionally get the itch to buy a new daily driver, but it doesn’t really make sense for me to do that. My current daily driver is only about 7 years old, has about 60k miles, and gets about 30 mpg on my 22 mile round trip commute that is an even split between city and highway driving. The car

Kind of you to offer. If I should find myself in Ohio, I’ll make sure to check out the Valley Vibes.

I’m actually a bit sad about the S60. It’s a handsome sedan, and that’s becoming a very rare thing these days (both the sedan part, and the handsome part). The T8 was a bit of a dark horse with its 455 hp and 40 mile EV range. Not cheap mind you, nor the most nimble, but competent and comfortable. Since Polestar spun

Glad you found an extra pair of headlights laying around. I didn’t realize that the Boxster units were an exact fit for the 996

<40 here; but not by much.

Right on man. Cheers to the new year! May 2025 bring you many more days of driving your classics carefully in traffic-light areas and cracking the 300k mark on your Mazda.

Do more of what you love” is the best one here, because it applies to everyone and covers all the other items.

I mean, if one has “F* you” money, then one does as one pleases.

C8 Z06. But it’s still in the 500 mile break in period, and the instructions from GM say to continually vary rpms while driving. And we all know that 3k+ rpm is not how you get good gas mileage.

Yes! Love the OZ Rally wheels on this!

Yeah, that’s bad. And I’m not sure how the company board would even approve this.

I mean, it’s not a bad car, it’s just a little bit ugly.
