Yeah, I’m not a Subie guy, but this one definitely deserved to be on the list instead of a couple of one-off concept cars.

I have a suspicion that Alfa and Fiat are going to announce a retreat from the U.S. market in the not too distant future. Both have dwindling product portfolios and neither really lit the sales charts on fire. Mind you, I’m not saying I “want” Alfa to leave, but I think the writing is on the wall. I think Stellantis…
Sure, but that’s not the approach that many governments are taking. Instead we keep hearing about ICE bans by 20XX, which then get kicked down the road or watered down.
Regulation should be used to correct externalities, not create them. The government needs to incentivize and invest in clean energy generation, charging infrastructure, and battery recycling technologies/facilities. ICE will eventually fade away, no need to “ban” ICE outright; it just makes governments look inept when…
Your brother is a product of privilege; the privilege to be an anti-vaxxer because everyone around him is vaccinated.
Misleading statement by the cop. Does that surprise you?
Pass meaningful immigration reform? No
The redesign looks ok without the context of the original. Next to the original it becomes apparent how the narrow slit headlights are disproportionately small compared to the rest of the design.
Yep. Don’t pay the mark up, just be patient. Don’t buy toys unless you can afford to buy them outright (not saying you should necessarily do that, but you should be in the financial position to be able to do it).
This should be formally investigated, not just because of the car unexplainably locking and trapping the child inside, but also because the video footage has mysteriously gone missing. Didn’t Tesla get in trouble recently for employees watching and sharing customer videos without permission?
I’m not going to deny that Taylor Swift worked hard to build her brand and wealth, but let’s also acknowledge that she didn’t start from “nothing”. Her dad was a successful stock broker and was able to invest in her music career, which is something many young talented people don’t have access to.
Clearly an unnecessary escalation on the part of the officers. Entirely inappropriate. That being said, Hill shouldn’t have rolled his window all the way back up; and if he did so accidentally by triggering the one-touch function, he should have lowered it again ASAP. The tint on the window was too dark, and gave the…
The title says “cars nobody knows about except our readers”. Do you really think that applies to cars featured in Monterey or Villa d’Este? Cars that were on Jay Leno’s Garage or Doug’s show?
Agreed. Tesla had a major “first” mover advantage (they weren’t technically the first, but you get the point); but Elon and the board squandered it. And yes, I hold the board responsible too, because their fiduciary duty should be to the shareholders and not the overlord.
I’ll take “Shit we shouldn’t be doing” for $500, Alex.
“Cars nobody knows about”
Isn’t this pretty much par for the course with luxury EVs? Lucid, EQS, Taycan, eTron GT, all seem to lose about 50% of their value rather quickly, even with extremely low mileage. I think the used market prices are just reflecting what most buyers are thinking: “those EVs were overpriced to begin with.”
