Ever since Jaguar announced their plans to become a Bentley competitor I thought the writing was on the wall. Jaguar has made some truly fantastic cars during its history, but Jaguar hasn’t had that level of “premium brand” perception in long time. I wish them luck.

There is zero bicycle friendly infrastructure where I live, except for the last 1/4 mile downtown right before I get to my office. If this was Europe, I’d be on a bike without any hesitation; but sharing the roadways in the U.S., I’m not risking life and limb to bike to work.

The small cheap EVs can’t come soon enough. In the meantime I’ll keep checking prices on used Mini SE’s; that 100 mile range is plenty for my 23 mile daily round trip. 

Once they depreciate it becomes a more palatable option. 

In Virginia we pay personal property taxes on cars, boats, RVs etc. The exact percentage varies by county, but it is based on the assessed value of the vehicle.

For me, I just don’t see the value proposition at this point in time. My current commute is <25 miles round trip, my commuter car gets up to 40 mpg highway, and it has very low maintenance costs. An EV wouldn’t actually be “cheaper to own” once I factored in the higher cost to buy, higher property taxes, higher…

100% on the C8. You do not want to put your cold groceries in the rear trunk. 

The worst part is that you can get this color on just about any car these days… Kia, BMW, Porsche, GM, Ford, everybody seems to have it and it’s just awful. It might have been “unique” when Audi did it as a special option for RS cars 10 years ago, but now it has thoroughly worn out its welcome if you ask me.

Eh… I mean, that doesn’t exactly look like the easiest place to reach. Let’s not forget that this vehicle is quite large. I suspect that frunk isn’t very user friendly with the high hood and deep inset placement. I mean, yes, it’s pretty ridiculous that it’s part of an optional package; but I have to think that Dodge…

I feel like automakers are reaching the point where they are doing “too much”. Rear wheel steering, 8 drive modes, turbo, hybrid, PHEV, AWD…. I get that the C63 is supposed to be the “top dog” of the C class range, but all this seems like overkill to me. How many drivers are really going to use all of that capability?…

Except that some of these lighter colors can create a horribly annoying glare on the inside of the windshield. You can even see if in the pictures you posted; just look at that bright orange interior compared to the dark green one. At least keep the top of the dashboard a reasonably darker color to keep the glare…

It’s worse than “stupid”, they are willfully ignorant. 

And for some reason they just love to punch down on future generations; rather than trying to uplift them to achieve even greater things tomorrow.

Ok, maybe I don’t understand how the system works; but what I understood was that the Kia Connect App lets you see a live 360 stream of the vehicle surroundings. Are people really sitting at dinner or in a meeting with a live 360 stream of their vehicle open on their phones? Or does that function also do recording and…

Oh…. Well I’m not sure when that would ever be particularly useful, but ok. I mean if your that worried about the surroundings where you parked the car, why park it there in first place? 

Wait wait wait… the 360 camera is locked behind a subscription?
